What would you want to see sold on market nights? Are "The Villages" the only people who can sell food and drink products during these nights? Thanks for the ideas.

They really aren't 'market nights', but once a week vendor nights, with booths selling non-food stuff, like hats, jewelry, lamp post signs, sport accessories, small home decor, etc.
There is however, one fellow who sells hot dogs from a steam wagon, but I'm not sure if he is limited to only vendor nights or not.

We have a fresh market a few days a week (?) @ The Villages Brownwood Square, selling produce, foodstuffs, plants, etc. and a food vendor who will eventually have a restaurant there.... it is under construction.

There are also a number of fresh farmer's type markets nearby The Villages on weekends. All are good quality and all are busy.

One does not need to be a resident to rent a booth in The Villages.

We have bought signs, children's books, caps, sweatshirts. women's tops, cell phone holders, purses, cheap golf balls etc. from Market night.

So what you have, has been good to us. Like the fresh flower idea. Its always about price. The lower the price, the more you will sell.

 They "ARE" actually called Market Nights. And they are held "TWICE" a week at Town Square (Mon.&Wed.) and "TWICE" a week at Market Square (Tues.&Thurs.)

Paddock Square has a Farmers Market "ONE" day a week(Sat.)

The hot dogs at Sumter Landing used to be from a cart from the movie theatre, owned by The Villages.

Contact TV Entertainment Dept. 352-750-5411. Tammy Ford used to be the POC for vendor nights, not sure if she is still there.

You can step across the street to the movie theater and get popcorn. The concessions are outside the ticket required area.

Sounds good if they can get right Italian bread. Otherwise, you might as well go to Subway. How about a panini with right bread again? If they can airlift fresh fish from across the world, why not French and Italian breads from across the pond via air.

I like the fresh flowers suggestion.
They used to have a vegetable stand at market night. I loved picking up fresh veggies just before going home. I wish they would bring that back.

I think the fresh veggies went away when Sweetbay opened. Others may have better information.
