Our Iris was built in 2013, right after they stopped offering the bigger laundry room option. Our sink is in the garage so the room is quite small. How have others solved the problem of where to hang clothes after they are removed from the dryer? I would like to have something that pulls down from the wall but the space between the doors is very small. Thanks for any suggestions.

I built a clothing line from the garage door rail to the wall next to the sink , about 8ft.

I put a tension shower rod over the door opening going into the kitchen. It's white, and I put it at the same level as the white door trim, so it's hardly noticeable when not in use.
I figure, you have the door open when you're doing laundry, so you may as well, quickly hang clothes from the dryer. Also, since we only have a few items that have to "hang dry" it hasn't been an issue.

I put a drying rack in the garage. I put clothes on hangers and then on rack. Heat in the garage dries them quickly.

Me too and also a big over the door hook to hang hangers on (I cushion it with thin felt)..works great.

What I miss is one out of the way spot in the laundry room for a kitty litter box. It's too bad every square inch is taken up. One small space for what the owner would like to use it for in the laundry would be a great improvement. Eg. Litter box, hamper, sewing, crafts, shoes, storage etc. It need not be much, just something the area size of a laundry sink in every size home IMHO.

This is for HimandMe, one of the best ideas for kitty litter box is to put a small cabinet in the garage with a small hole in the back, butted to wall against laundry room with the hole going through wall into laundry room. A handy man can easily make the kitty access door into through the wall into the cabinet. This way, kitty litter box is in it's own little cabinet in the garage, you can used top part of cabinet to hold extra kitty supplies. And or, have another cabinet installed to store other supplies. There's about 8" on side of washer/dryer which is plenty of room for kitty to access opening in wall to his own little kitty potty.
