View Full Version : Who gets the drop outs votes?

It appears that Donald Trump has about 33% of the primary votes in his pocket. Not enough to win the nomination.

Considering Jeb's relationship with Rubio and both being from Florida, I would suspect most of his supporters to go to Rubio. This will put Rubio somewhere around 29%

Kasich and Carson have about 15% between them. Even if they all went to Trump, it wouldn't be enough to secure the nomination. So where do these votes go?

If they are split evenly, and I think that is highly unlikely, we'd have Trump at 38%, Rubio at 34% and Cruz at 27%. Does Cruz drop out if that's the case? If he does, his people are not going to support Trump. Rubio would almost certainly become the nominee. If he picks Kasich as his running mate, I believe the republicans win the White House easily over any democratic candidate.

If Cruz decides to stay in we'll have a brokered convention. If it does, then Trump is certainly gone as the party will not support him.

Trump's big problem is his negatives which are far higher than any candidate on either side. As the other's drop out, his share of the vote is not going to increase.

Just my thoughts on what I'm witnessing.

The actual R nominee is really irrelevant-

Both Clinton and Sanders easily beat any Republican

I doubt it. I think that a Rubio / Kasich ticket would easily beat either of them.

Sanders will be out before long. Nobody down South will vote for a commie. Hillary will be the nominee but has no chance against any of the GOP candidates. The DNC doesn't even want her to win, but didn't want Sanders to win either. They will trot out Bloomie as an Independent, but we all know who he represents. Then the GOP candidate will win again. Independents will not vote for Sanders or Hillary and that is the only way Hillary would have had a chance to win. If Trump gets nominated, Hillary is going to go down in a landslide, with Dems voting for Trump, Independents voting for Trump, and maybe even Slick Willy, the ever faithful husband. Hillary must realize by now that she is going to lose, unless that bump on the head really did rattle her little brain.

Yeah, and you probably thought Etchy was going to win

Rubio at the top of the ticket is a death sentence for the R's. This guy has many skeletons in his closet. Beginning with his meth dealing family. Expect Trump to make mention of it any day now

You are wrong. You seem to forget that a literally unknown black, racist, radical preaching/teaching senator from Illinois unseated Queen Clinton in 2008 and was elected.

With his baggage and skeletons as a precedent almost anybody will easily pass.

Be quiet, coward.

I'm sorry for your peevish little anger issues. Perhaps if you allow me to have a chat with your momma, we can arrange counseling for you.

After the election and Hillary wins, I want all you losers to come on here and say "duh I was wrong".

The only racist is quite obviously, you.

You can always tell a post by a Con - takes less than one sentence to play the race card

Actually I want to go back before 2008, but we can't. Because, in my opinion it was at that time that our political and legal citizens lost their ever loving minds.

A precedent was set and a presidential candidate not properly vetted was allowed to proceed with the selection process. Legitimate questions concerning his eligibility and qualification emerged but the back room bosses ignored the rules of the game .

Consequently, we again have candidates with serious questions of eligibility and qualifications to serve . Voters are actually clamoring for candidates that are ineligible, unqualified lunatics marxist and crooked.

America has to be the laughing stock of the world

I;m really sick and I;m really worried for this nation too many of us seem to have become unhinged.

I'm concerned for the younger generation, because they don't have a clue, but as for myself, I figure that no matter how much damage the anarchists do to our country, it will be too late to have an effect on me. If the younger generation is that spoiled that they want socialism, then they deserve the wake up call. Too bad that by the time they wake up to reality, it will be too late. I've lived in socialist countries where the people thought they were happy. But, all of them envied us in America. Yes, they were reliant on socialized everything, but they still yearned for our independence from the total gov control on our lives. They also envied our decadent lifestyles. You see, their middle class was just a bit above the lifestyle of our lower class. They really did not have a middle class per se. They had an upper class and a lower class, but no real substantive middle class.

But, no matter how the political system goes, the ignorant will ultimately give the politicians more power and control over their lives. It's just a matter of time. The lazier and spoiled our people get, the more control they will give to the government.

I thought dropout votes was referring to high school dropouts, lol. Naturally those votes would go to Republicans.
