Jillian Michaels who was the trainer on The Biggest Loser filmed two segments of her new show at The Villages. They will be on the E! channel tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. (last week's episode) and at 10:00 p.m. for the new episode. Last week's was fun and showed many scenes inThe Villages. The new episode should be interesting.

We watched last week and what I took away from it was that Jillian is a first class self-absorbed jackass. The way they portrayed The Villages made me wonder if Andrew Blechman had directed the program.

I had recorded the show, so I had the luxury of being able to fash forward. How that show has any ratings is beyond me, it should be renamed the Primadonna. Those of you who didn't see the show are the lucky ones, for those of us who did watch, it's something you cannot unsee.
Apparently this Jillian person wants to appeal to every segment of the market. She's a lesbian, she likes to yell profanities and scare everyone with law suits, she's adopted a child from Africa, she has a pot belly pig for a pet, need I say more. Jillian is shown riding around in a golf cart at LSL looking for a parking spot so they could eat at Cody's. Eventually she pulled up on the sidewalk and parked there since she's Jillian and she said it was alright to do so.
She had no knowledge of pickleball but her and her girlfriend played pickleball against her girlfriend's parents, who were in their 70's, and beat them. By the end of that game, everyone at the court knew who she was, that she can play any sports and win, and everyone should stop what they're doing and watch her play.
The big finally to the show was she spent $13,000 buying a '57 Chevy golf cart for her inlaws to make up for all her misgivings. When the cart arrived she noticed it wasn't new but had many nicks and dents, so she summoned her entourage to get that person on the phone. Next two men show up at her place and she begins to lamblast them with the F-word about how they ripped her off with this golf cart. Even though you can side with her on this event, her attitude and profanity laced tirade just reinforces everything up to this point. BTW, there were some areas of TV shown, but it wasn't worth watching this to see them.

Helene, our daughter has the same opinion. When I told her Gillian was here she said "I don't like her. She is kinda rough and mean." Helene is very good at assessing people.

The second episode regarding The Villages will be on tonight at 10:00 on the E! channel. It is a fairly short segment at the beginning, and the remainder of the episode moves on to other parts of Florida.

For someone who is supposed to be about bringing a message of fitness to our country, I thought she missed a golden opportunity to explore exactly what an active lifestyle community is all about.

Hey - Us guys in The Villages don't need a high priced personal trainer. We're all in great shape here>>>
