Does anyone use AT&T for their cell phone in the villages and what do you think about it? heard connection is not good here.

I've been using AT&T for three years without a problem. I live on the north side but haven't had a problem anywhere I've gone. With that in mind I just cancelled last week and switched to Crickett Wireless because of a much lower price and I'm still using AT&T towers.

We've used AT&T for over two years now (switched from Verizon for a lot of reasons) and are happy with the coverage. We live south of 466A in Hillsborough, and even though the signal strength typically shows 2 or 3 bars, we've never had a dropped call here at the house. We even have their "home phone" box, which is actually another cell phone and have never had a problem with it either.

I use Cricket Wireless with ATT towers. Everything great! Never had a problem.

Verizon has the best nation wide coverage.

I've had AT&T for several years. Never been anywhere in The Villages or surrounding area where I had an issue with reception.

AT&T here and wherever we travel and we have no complaints. I have been told many of the towers that all the cell phone companies use are actually owned by companies other than the cell phone companies.

We've used ATT forever. Never any issues at all no matter where in The Villages we are. best svc. around in our opinion.

We've used AT&T for years and without any issues all over The Villages since we moved here in September.

I'm a longtime ATT cellphone account holder and I've never been disappointed.

Lots of folks don't like their carrier when 9 out of 10 people having problems have cheap phones. You can have the best (Verizon) but with a cheap phone your service can be sporadic. equipment matters!

We've had AT&T in years past, and then again the last 10 months. I switched from Verizon because when we moved from St. James to Hillsborough, we couldn't reliably use our cellphones in the house. The AT&T signal was slightly stronger in the house, but we still had more dropped calls than I would have liked. Called AT&T customer service and was provided a microcell that we use in the house. Absolutely no problems now.

Verizon agreed that the service was unusable in our home, and agree to forego cancellation fees with the return of our phones. Verizon customer service was infuriating after we cancelled. We had to call them at least 6 times over a number of months to get the final bill straightened out. I will never use them again.

Glad to hear AT&T cell service is adequate in TV. I’ve had AT&T cell phone since 1987 and I’m too lazy to change. However, I have changed phones. I no longer have the bag phone I carried like a murse. And my current iPhone was much cheaper than the $2k bag phone and the call rate is cheaper than $1/min. Sometimes progress is a good thing :)

We use ATT for iphones and ipads. Great service all over the villages so far. Not the cheapest but not so expensive on family plan.

No problems at all with AT&T. Great reception in and out of The Villages.

I do recall that there were complaints a few yes ago before they added the new tower. We moved here in 2014 and have no complaints!

We live in Lake Deaton and had poor AT&T coverage in the house. AT&T gave us a micro cell that plugs into our router. Now we have great coverage in the house.

AT&T used to be horrible.. HORRID, but they put in some new towers and now it's just great. I dropped Verizon for AT&T
