We have dear friends moving to TV in early December. Not sure yet if we will come down to help them get moved or not but they will be setting up a new house nearly from scratch. We have Caveman's list but are looking for recommendations for specifc services. These include:

Lawn Care and Landscaping: Saw a strong rec for Fernview Farm. Are they still the best?

Home inspection Service: Saw a strong rec for David Penny. Others?

There will be a home office involved so someone to set up the computers, printers, wireless secure network will be needed. ???????

How do you contact the donut guy?

Pest control?

What else??

Many thanks in advance.

They are referring to the guy who installs circular "donuts" around each of the sprinkler heads to protect them from being swished by a mower's tires.

Do not know how to contact him. Our lawn maintenance guy installed them for us.

There is a donut man and he does excellent work, his name is Don Kessler. We're not in TV's right now but we have his card: Don the Donut Man, 352-750-9316. Give him a call, he's reasonable. In February of this year the cost was $2.50 per donut, installed.

Thanks Peachie! It was Don Kessler I was trying to think of regarding the donuts. Sounds like we have some dough-nuts around too.

Donuts? YUM

I bought 'em for $1 at Home Depot and it took me all of 5 minutes to install a dozen or more of 'em. I realize it's easier to pay someone, but I saved $20 for 5 minutes work and didn't have to find someone to do it.

Good luck on the move.

I didn't realize the donuts were available from HD. Thanks! Any ideas about someone to hook up the computer equipment and provide longer term IT support?

I bought a home in TV in June. I am only there part time and have found the following people to be very reliable:

Lawn Care: Dawn and Joe Baker (D & J Baker's Lawn Service- they advertise here on TOTV)

Pest Control: Dean's Pest Control (they also advertise here on TOTV)

House Watching: Our own Redwitch from this board- she is terrrific. She cares and treats my house like it was her own.

Home inspection: I wish I could remember the name of company for the man who did my inspection. I think his name is J.P. Raspell. He is a British genetleman who lives in TV and he did a terrrific job, extrememly thorough. If you are working with Property of the Villages, they can give you his phone number.

Sorry I didn't have numbers to post for these people but my info in is Florida and I am here in NH (my other home).
