I read a stat recently that said there are 607 holes of golf in TV. Is that a current stat? If not, how many?

Not sure about that, but it seemed there were that many people in front of me at the deli counter in Winn Dixie yesterday :)

36 execs x 9 holes -----------------324 holes
10 champs x 27 holes--------------270 holes
2 champs x 18 hole----------------- 36 holes
________
630 holes total

Also, 607 is not divisible by 9, so God knows where that came from.

If it was Pinellas, it's because they have a nice lady who takes 25 minutes to get you 1/2 pound of 3 items. Wegman's in NY does the same job in 2 1/2 minutes. After encountering this twice, I get cold cuts elsewhere

Not to mention having to rewrap each item almost as if it's being hermetically sealed and reattached to the animal.

Huh? What??

Some Villages' golf courses seem to be too new to be on Swing-by-Swing.

Wegman's workers are organized. Just another reason to vote/buy union !

Maybe, but that seems to be quite a leap from point A to point D without a lot in between

I spend my time on many union, prevailing wage and non-union jobs. Union jobs are run safer, more efficient, and more organized to make a profit and still provide a good wage.

Now add to that the number of players plus the number of balls lost. Divide by the number of birds seen and other wild animals. Times the number of cows. And it really makes more sense to just play and have fun.

Sarasota has two holes per green.
Wouldn't that make it 639 holes?

Sports section??

It is on the front page of the Villages Daily Sun Sports page. I like those numbers but know well that some numbers just show up if you are actively looking for them.

The numbers for 2015 Golf in the Villages:

3,042,017 total rounds of golf.

7,842,435 approximate miles driven on Villages golf courses in 2015. ( I would be interested in how they got that number)

2241 number of holes-in-one in 2015 (Love that number. That is the co-incidence I mean).

751 most rounds played by a male player in 2015 here in the Villages. This is by Robert Smith.

683 most rounds played by a female played in 2015 here in the Villages. This is by Mary Minnelli.

630 holes of golf in the Villages, the largest single golf location in the world.

This is paraphrasing The Villages Daily Sun February 25, 2016 article by Steve Trivett on B1 and B4!

The source for the golfing statistics for 2015 is the Villages Golf and Country Club Administration.

That would be Pimlico. Saw tons and tons of balls in the drained pond. I added one...

I believe that if I could design a functional floatation vest for golf balls that I would be at least 1 tax bracket better off.
