We are under contract!!!!! I am convinced we would not have sold with out the help of our Realtor. She had a house showing every week and some times two a week for six mouths. She even lowered her commission to close the deal.

Where is your home located? NJ? Would you share what the fair market value was....and what they offered as their???? Just trying to understand this crazy market.

That is what happens when you deal with a motivated Real Estate agent. That is why I did not go with the Villages relocation program. I wanted my own agent, and was able to get a better deal on a national moving company. Both agents involved with our house took a "cashectomy" to close the deal. This spring our house sold in two weeks at what we asked for. It does happen. Oh, and it was in Upstate NY.

The house is in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Murfreesboro is a up and coming town in middle Tennessee. A very desirable place to live. The housing is slow but not as slow as the rest of the country. The average days on market is 90 days. We took $10,000.00 off to make the deal.

Just went to contract and we are scheduled to close in January.
Used a realtor and we think she is great. House was listed on various websites, brought only
serious buyers and even managed to have house featured as the "House of the Week" in the NY Post.
Don't think we would have the patience to sell on our own.
Commission is money well spent. JMHO.

Its great to hear good things about realtors. As a realtor myself I hear a lot of good comments but also some not so good comments. We work very hard for our customers and clients and most realtors are very dedicated to their profession. Congratulations on the sales of your homes and I sure you will be very happy villagers very soon. I hope to sell my home sooner rather than later. My realtor (me) is doing her best but the market here in SC has gone dead these past six months or so. But it will happen I know and I'll be posting the happy news too.

Her name is Glenda Victory out of the Murfreesboro office. I get her name from the David Remsey show. Good Luck
