Which will you watch?
I am a huge fan of the Walking Dead and can tape the Oscars.

Downton Abbey is a special about the time period, so it won't be the final episode tonight. But Vinyl on HBO along with The Walking Dead on AMC is going to create a DVR conflict with the Oscars. And the Valerie Gillespie Ensemble is playing at LSL which conflicts with the red carpet broadcast. What to do.....what to do.

There are usually a lot of The Walking Dead spoilers on Facebook the next day-- at least my Facebook because I am a big fan of The Walking Dead-- so that is usually why I try to watch it almost live. I do tape it but fast forward through the commercials. Plus, if there is some emergency I can see it later on.

I am not a fan of the Academy Awards because all it amounts to is a social admiration group peddling more of the image of Hollywood glamour. Its a total farce. The boycott created by Smith & company added to the hypocrisy especially since we know that this ultra liberal group look down on conservative actors and refuse to acknowledge good works if they agree with their political views such as Clint Eastwood's Sniper and Michael Bay's Thirteen Hours.
I never believed a zombie show would get my attention but The Walking Dead is indeed gripping and a TV series I enjoy.
Undecided abut Vinyl yet

Clint Eastwood did direct and/or star in some of my favorite movies. Unforgiven and The Outlaw Joey Wales are two of my favorite movies.

I don't watch awards shows of any kind, but I am a huge TWD fan. I watched TWD and loved every minute!

Clint Eastwood one of my favorite Hollywood personalities. He makes movies you can watch over and over. Same with Mel Gibson, Gene Hackman
Have watched Braveheart , Rob Roy, Gladiator

That's very funny.
I only got to see parts of the Oscars but will have to watch it very carefully in the taped version.
As to watching the Oscars, I have been perplexed by things in them since March 2000. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/72nd_Academy_Awards
About the attendees, some of the celebrities Face Book pages are well done even if I have no idea if this is just some publicist or the actual person. Lots of smoke and mirrors when you interact with Hollywood.
There is a couple in the Villages who are the parents of a well known movie actor. And I met the father of the casting director or assistant casting director or something like that for Saving Private Ryan. I wish that had won Best Picture that year. Good movie about the horrors of war which should be required viewing of any person desiring to put our men and women in harm's way especially if it is just for their ego.

Actually many movies now are being made in many different places other than Hollywood for tax purposes. Some of these are Canadian locations.
