The bank(s) seem to charge a very high amount for additional checks, last batch was $40-50 for ~120 checks.

Online these are much less, HOWEVER, in looking at the reviews some of these sites have really bad reputations.

So I am asking fellow villagers if they have used an alternative to bank supplied checks that were a reasonable cost. Please feel free to us PM, if you do not want reply in public.

Thank you,
VT

I used Walmart.com. Had used vistaprint for a club account, paid with a never used debit card, and it was compromised soon thereafter, so, I shy away from vistaprint.

Thank you, I saw VistaPrint had this as a service, and we have used them for our villages cards. Will look into this option. VT

I've never ordered checks from a company other than my bank. I've always worried about giving some unknown entity my banking information. Does that worry anyone else?

I use online banking so I write very few checks. I just like to have some on hand!

Thank all of you. I will check with the bank about the cost today, and then make a decision.

You are so right, good example was the fraud by the hairdresser ? I think recently some how was able to draft on ladies bank account when she wrote check to pay for it. I usually pay by cash no loose ends tied to it as long as you get receipt.

Bank of America - no chages

What!?! I just paid for checks from Bank of America in November. I was in the bank changing around some accounts and their representative told me that it would be cheaper to purchase the checks through their website. But, I still paid for them.

SAMs club with no problems

I went to the Sam's club website, and found no references to preprinted personal bank checks, all I found were blank checks that you use your our accounting software to print. If you have a link, let us know. Or can this be done at the store?

Thanks, VT

I have credit card with them. Also Merrill Lynch IRA account which counts towards the minimum balance to become a platinum customer.

It might be because my accounts are in a trust. I think I remember her saying that.
