Need Some Helpful Advice Please

OK a few years back we had an area in from of our house made into a flagstone patio. The grout started to deteriorate (I don't think it was done right) so we hired a highly recommended handyman to re-grout it. He said he could do it, well it turned into a disaster, after over 2 days or hard work on his part it was evident he really was overwhelmed. What have a HUGE mess, our flagstone is ruined and our sidewalk and driveway have stains all over we cannot remove because he used a concrete for the grout! The front of our house is a huge mess. I am heartbroken. YES I should have gotten a pro and paid for a professional job, live and learn. What I need now is who to contact to fix these issues. Any ideas as to the type of person to contact I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance.

What is it you want? Do you want this guy to provide you new? correct the damage he has done? Pay you a monetary amount? If he is unwilling to cooperate there is not an agency to my knowledge that can force him to comply? And if he does not have insurance then you may have to seek legal action. if you seek legal action you can file your own small claim or hire an attorney

My suggestion, start with him and see if he will make it right. If not does he have insurance and with whom? And if he has insurance coverage for the damage he caused may or may not be covered by an insurance company if it is a result of poor workmanship, etc? However this is an area that is not just black and white so proceed careful .

This company built a pool for us along with everything that goes with it. They have a concrete division and they are the best, most professional company I have ever dealt with. I would call them and see if they can help you. 352-748-2111.

Get a move on also and do it before the extremely hot weather. Heat and too much water are the enemies of concrete.

Having someone who gives a personal recommendation of this kind is better than Angie's List. The kind of work they do around a home is a kind of art. Don't laugh at that it's true. "I don't think that would be terribly expensive" is rather an individual perception is it not? A few grand to tear it up and redo it might not be much to you, but to some it hurts the budget greatly. Perhaps you should keep those sort of opinions to yourself unless you know the cost and the persons monetary history.
