I have 3 Persians and am looking for a groomer experienced in grooming of long haired cats. Either an at home groomer or one close to The Villages would work. Any recommendations would be helpful...TU

I now use Theresa's Waggin' Wheels...a mobile Pet groomer. 352-409-0300. She has been to my house 2X so far and we are quite pleased. I have 2 Ragdoll kitties. One gets a full trim and the other just gets the sanitary trim and both get their nails clipped. Much less traumatic than carting them out and about, although I do require that Theresa take them out to the van in their carrier's. Price wise...as much as any local groomer you have to bring them to. Quite fair, I think.

I have a Bicolor seal raggie. I trim her at home (sanitary only, hate those kling-ons).
Glad to know there are other raggies in TV!

A word of caution, we used a groomer that came to the house (sorry I do not remember the name), and asked for a trim of our long hair cat. There was a misunderstanding, we wanted the sanitary trim, as mentioned above, we got almost a poodle cut. The cat was really annoyed, for over a month...........
Be sure that whomever you use, there is a clear understanding of what you want.

Ha ha! As I recall (7 cats over 40 years), it is not wise to p*** off one's cat!
