We can hope!

It's closer to 40 million...but who's counting.

1. Hope so. Other presidents have had mass deportations.
2. Yes, why not? It isn't that hard of a task.
3. Possibly. If they want to trade with us, then they will have to pay us extra until the wall is finished. Personally, I wouldn't care if he asked us to pay for it. There would be cost savings in the long run.

The great Trump wall is not such a big job.

If he can't get it done, then he can blame Obama.

The only thing that will stop him from becoming the next POTUS is possibly the RNC. If they do, then that will finish the Republican party. Otherwise, Trump already has it. The Dems can't even get voters to turn out, and Trump has an increase of millions coming out to vote Republican. If the RNC refuse Trump, then they will self-destruct because regardless of what we feel about Trump, if he gets it fairly, they must not interfere with the voter.

It's exciting to watch. I think Trump is going to sweep the election. He really seems to have the voters turning out like I have never seen.

Total immigrant population is estimated around 40 million.

A new analysis of monthly Census Bureau data by the Center for Immigration Studies shows that the nation's immigrant population (legal and illegal) hit a record high of 42.1 million in the second quarter of this year — an increase of 1.7 million since the same quarter of 2014. Growth in the immigrant population in the last year was led by a 740,000 increase in the number of Mexican immigrants. After falling or growing little in recent years, the number of Mexican immigrants again seems to be growing significantly. The monthly Census Bureau data, referred to as the Current Population Survey (CPS), is released before other data. As more information becomes available, it should confirm the findings from the CPS.1

Among the findings:

The nation's immigrant (foreign-born) population, which includes legal and illegal immigrants, grew by 4.1 million from the second quarter of 2011 to the second quarter of 2015 — 1.7 million in just the last year.

Immigrants are 13.3 percent of the nation's total population — the largest share in 105 years.

Growth in the last year was led by a rebound in the number of Mexican immigrants, which increased by 740,000 from 2014 to 2015 — accounting for 44 percent of the increase in the total immigrant population in the last year.

Prior research has indicated that net migration (the number coming vs. leaving) from Mexico had fallen to zero; the recent growth indicates that the period of zero net migration has ended.

In addition to Mexico, growth in the immigrant population was led by a 449,000 increase in the last year from countries in Latin America other than Mexico.

The Department of Homeland Security and other researchers have estimated that eight in 10 illegal immigrants are from Mexico and Latin America, so the increase in immigrants from these countries is an indication that illegal immigration has begun growing again.

The number of immigrants in the United States is now enormous, but it must be recognized that most immigrants, including those from Latin America, are in the country legally. Absent a change in legal immigration policy, the immigrant population will continue to increase.

40 million immigrants! Now, our resident xenophobe wants to get rid of all immigrants! How far back do you want to go in your ethnic cleaning? Careful, the American Indians might want YOU included in the immigrants sent "back where they came from"!

The point lesser intellects miss is the tipping point has been breeched, there is too high a percentage of recent immigrants to recover. We will fall due to internal struggles. Racial/minority tensions will rip us apart. 42,000,000 people, 13% of the population is an immigrant, meaning they weren't born here.

Why bring up the Indians? They did the same thing we did, welcomed invaders with open arms. Look where it got them. History repeats. Thank you for personally validating my comment.

There might be one little problem with that logic. Democratic voters are voting either for or against Trump. That is why their numbers are down. The thing that will stop Trump from being elected president is Trump. He is offending so many people that the only way he will win is the change in voter id laws that targeted minorities.

Your ethnic cleansing is a very dangerous slope to start sliding down. You might want to rethink your dangerous ideas of returning all immigrants to their home countries.

Is it only the non-white immigrants you want to return? Is it only the Hispanic? Is is anyone non-Christian? Is it anyone just not born in the US such as English, Canadian, or Swedish to be included?

Still, rethink, please!

They are not talking about immigrants, dummy. They are talking about removing criminals. Illegals are criminals. It's not a racist thing. That is only a Democrat thing, not a conservative thing. You really need to seek help or stop smoking the wacky weed.

Not "immigrants" Criminals, illegals, invaders. They have broken our federal laws by entering illegally. No one has problems with immigrants. No one is suggesting that we get rid of immigrants. You can't enforce laws selectively.

1) Deport all 12 million illegals immigrants
Trump said the number of illegal immigrants in the United States is "30 million, it could be 34 million."

The Department of Homeland Security says the number of illegal immigrants was about 11.4 million as of January 2012. Other independent groups that research illegal immigration put the number between 11 and 12 million. We found no compelling evidence that the number could as high as Trump said.

No,, It would be too difficult to do.

2) Build the wall on the border

No,,I can't find someone besides Trump who has self-porclaimed expertise in this subject that says it is possible.

3) Make Mexico pay for it[/QUOTE]
He will not be able to make them pay. Addition tariffs will raise prices at home and will hardly change the number or available jobs with the return of manufacturing. If companies move back to the US, old manufacturing jobs will be replaced by automation [robots].

you most assuredly would not being trying to spread a lie that there are no businesses ownwd and operated by democrats?

Do you think it matters to the executives of corporations that what they do for the business profitability and growth are based on party following?

Only a person who has absolutely no idea what they are talking about would make such statements as the post above.

Once again the limited scope of the partisan talking points and the limited scope of those trying desparately to make everything they hear fit the limited range they are allowed to talk and operate in. Make it work.

As a result some really illogical and at times dumb things, like the above post are stated.

Must be a real challenge to stay in line.

In the 1920's after several decades of open arms to immigration, a wave of anti-immigrant sentiment fueled by racism, nativism, religious bigotry, and ethnic purity concerns swept the county led by the GOP. They depicted those entering mostly via NYC in view of the Statue of Liberty (Give us your poor..) as undesirables. Those undesirables certainly included my grandparents. Too much cheap labor, too many Catholics and Jews, too many not speaking English, too many breeding like vermin once they got here, and too many criminals in their ranks. Shut the doors or America will be ruined.

Of course those immigrants and their children were central to the success of America in science, art, music, business etc. Immigrants have always been full of initiative and when given opportunity been a huge net positive for the US.

Your education or lack of it is troubling. This has NOTHING to do with "immigrants" or "racism." We are talking about criminals, ILLEGALS, breakers of the law. No one has suggested deporting immigrants, so your whole premise is skewed. What a 'tard!!
