Anyone have any experience with Bee Removal in TV ? A large "sac" of bees showed up in our front yard palm yesterday, large enough to bend the branch to the ground. Bees swarming all around the area. Hubby highly allergic, so need removal asap. Any advise or recommendations would be helpful.

Scott, with Riverview Apiaries, has been know to come to TV and removed bees for his hives. 352-255-8163. Great guy too, sells his honey at the Farmers Market.

They are most likely relocating the hive.

Thanks ! I just called Scott and hopefully he will come out soon. He said he removed about 30 hives from TV last year. Didn't know we were such a "bee mecca".

Thanks for calling a bee expert who does honey instead of someone who would have sprayed insecticide on them. :bigbow:
Any chance you could take a picture (safely) of the swarm and post it?

Assuming, of course, that it's a honeybee nest.

Thanks for all your comments. Unbelievable, but as I was out there waiting for the Bee Keeper, they just all flew away. There was a very loud buzzing, they started swarming, and then flew away....in formation. An incredible sight ! The Bee Keeper told me that apparently they were in our palm as a "stop over" while searching for a permanent location for a nest. She said they will most likely relocate within 100 to 200 yards away. I'm just grateful there're gone....and I'm sure Community Watch is too, as they received several reports of our new visitors. Trying to add photo, but not successful so far.
