Venice - Worst flooding in 20 years Today

Amazing pictures... (See link) Can you imagine shopping in that grocery store or better yet having a cup of coffee in the flood waters!!

WE were just in Venice 2 weeks ago and it was absolutley beautiful although they were removing the ramps they put in place to walk above the flood waters near and around St Marks Square when we were there.

Venice is one of my favorite places. How strange to see it "under water." The people don't give up, though, do they?
