I feel sure that every single person who knows Village07, either by her posts, or in person, thinks highly of this warm genuine woman who is always dependable, kind and fair.

She is entering the hospital this week to have repairs done on her knee.

I am sending warm thoughts to her and wishing and hoping and praying that all goes well and she will soon be out and about and dancing again soon...and golfing and maybe even playing tennis!

Must be the year for rehab. First Mr 07 with his arm and now 07 herself. Hope everything goes well as I am sure it will. The old saying "You can't keep a good thing down" comes into play. And play she will soon on the golf course. Thinking "GOOD" thoughts for you 07.

Mr & Mrs F16, Patience, and of course PIA Sadie too.

Village07,
Prayers and warm wishes coming your way. Listen to your doctors as tennis is very hard on the knees-pool workouts are great!
GG is right about your personality. I pray everything goes well.

Thank you all for your kind wishes. If I could bottle up all that positive energy, I might be back to golf and tennis in a week. Alas, it will take several months of work and rehab to get my new knee up to full strength. It's amazing what modern medicine can do. We are fortunate, indeed, to live in these times (and in this place!!!)

Under the knife Monday the 8th.... hope to be back online by Friday.

Until then...golf, swimming, walking, etc

(Hey Gracie...I never could dance before...do you think just by getting a new knee, I'll be able to???) :evil6:

Thanks Nonie, for discouraging Gracie from that idea.:ohdear::ohdear::ohdear:

Actually Beady, the thought did occur to me of holding ballet lessons on my lanai this winter. Cant you just see us tippy toeing around in our tutu's, Wonder what our golfing friends would think of us now!:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

No doubt we would attract a crowd. Hahahahahaha. Let's just stick to belly dancing. The scarves strategically placed are a much better alternative to tutu's. I think:evil6::evil6:

'07, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts on the 8th and hope you have an excellent recovery. Our neighbor here had both knees replaced at the end of this September and is now walking their two adorable dogs around the block in the snow. She feels the demanding recovery and physical therapy were so worth the effort, she has her mobility back! Please keep us posted when you are feeling social again.

As busy as 07 is, I am glad I don't have to live under the same roof when she is rehabbing. Will probably be a monster, chomping at the bit!!
Oh, and Fumar said she owes him money!!
But seriously........well, forget it, anyone that knows me knows that I am rarely serious, so why should I attempt to now???
I have no doubts she will be back in the swing of things in no time.

Hey 07, I'll be thinking about you. One advantage of having surgery and PT is you'll be able to chat during the daytime while you're recovering. We still need you to keep us all in line and up on the latest info. :bowdown:I will keep you in my prayers and hope to see you when I come down two days after Christmas. Take care, ok?

Just to close the loop on this thread....

I had the total knee replacement surgery on Monday morning... all went well and the Doc's results exceeded my expectations. I had developed a very crooked leg with extremely limited range of motion. He was able to straighten it out (better than the other leg) and got from 0 to 121 degrees range of motion on the table. Now it's my challenge, through therapy and rehab, to match those results.

I came home on Thursday and am pleased and surprised to be in no pain...just stiffness in the joint. I was impressed with the care and service at Leesburg Hospital (although the food was really awful) and now embark on a journey of PT.

I tell you, it was so wonderful to leave that hospital and breathe the warm, wonderful Florida fresh air and see all the lush greenery and blooming flowers. Then, turning into TV and seeing the daily fabric of life here...people playing pickleball, tooling around in golf carts, walking, etc does one's heart and soul good.

So, I thank all of you for your prayers, kind words and thoughts, and warm wishes. Things are looking good.

Merry Christmas to all....

V7 I am happy to hear that you are doing well and have a great positive attitude! It will take time, grit, and lots of physical therapy but you will be hopping around again is a very short time. It has been 8 years ago that I had a total knee replacement and it was a fantastic feeling NOT to have all of the knee pain when you took just a simple walk. Just that will spur you on to keep that therapy going for the next few months. My goal was to ride a bike which does take alot of knee bend and I was on the bike and the golf course in about three months. This is a great place to recover from any surgery with the support of many friends and sunny weather.
See you soon at Crispers!!
