Hello everyone
Does anyone know of a good Vet in the Villages or nearby?
I came down from up North and my Yorkiepoo need to be seen.
Thanks in advance

I would also recommend Mulberry Vets. They are very caring doctors. Been using them now for about 3 years.

I am very picky about Vets and have not had much luck finding a Vet that I truly trusted. (We found one but it was too difficult to get scheduled with him.) We finally found one and she left that practice and the area. The good news is she has joined the new practice off CR 466, Buffalo Ridge Vet Hospital. Her name is Dr. Rake and she was able to help our Golden Retriever puppy when no one else in the area could. We were thrilled to learn that she was going to be in the area once again. I hope this helps. I am now confident that my babies we receive reliable vet care.
Best Regards, Cinlite

I live in the Buffalo Ridge area but I haven't noticed a new Vet practice.
Could you share where Dr. Rake is now located?
We used one practice when we moved here and didn't like it at all. Then we went to Mulberry Grove. We're very happy with both doctors and the staff there. For a few visits we tried another vet because it was golf cart accessible. Back to Mulberry Grove again. They have our loyalty now. It's hard finding the right doctor for your babies, isn't it? Good luck to you!

you will not find a more responsive group
anywhere. They will tell you to bring an animal in jeopardy in ASAP and work them right in. They too saved the life of our Dalmation who almost had a complete urinary shut down. They have coverage over the weekends (most of the others will refer you to animal emergency care units in Leesburg. They also have a mobile unit that can be dispatched to your home for maintenance or needed care. Because of all the above, we choose to drive the extra distance. We have had dogs all our life....Country Oaks has no peer in the area...in our opinion. That does not mean the others are not good. They just happen to be the best of the best.
They also do all farm animals.....a real veterinary practice.

We also vote for Mulberry Grove Vets.....Even before the 2nd doctor arrived, they have been our vet of choice. Not only caring but truly understand our pet's and our needs.
Please try them if you haven't already.

I just used the new Buffalo Ridge Veterinary office .. Dr. Rakes. I wasn't impressed and wouldn't use them again.
They wanted to take my cat into another room to draw blood. I think they were unsure if they could get the blood sample without repeated attempts and they didn't want me to see that.
My Canadian vet always draws blood from my animals in front of me. I refused to part with my cat so they took the blood sample in front of me .. it took a few tries.

We have used the services of The Village Vet for the past 2 1/2 years and are very happy with them. They are located on the "historic side" of Hwy 27/441 just below the Orange Blossom Golf Cart Bridge.

We have used the Village Veterinarian since moving here 6 years ago and love them! wonderful knowledgeable staff and 2 great Vets one of whom lives in TV. They also have boarding and 2 of the best groomers in the area. The owner Dr. Valdez is wonderful and has his clinic in Fruitland Park also and a darling pet motel called the Village Pet Villas check them out at www.meowandbowwow.com

I've heard good things about the Mulberry Vet practice. I'll probably give them a try.

We took our old dog to Country Oaks Vet as recommended above.
The dog has diabetes and had contracted an infection and was in rough shape.
The vets there took good care of our dog and us, highly recommended.
Country Oaks is on Hwy 27/441 just north of Porters and across from Del Webb.

We LOVE the Mulberry Vets. We use Dr. Candace Vance, she is wonderful.
After moving here full time,,, within the first 3 mos., we had to have our 13 year old schnauzer put down, then bladder surgery on our 10 year old schnauzer, and Dr. Vance handled both.
She was so understanding and caring, the best vet we've ever had...

I take my dog to Dr. Barnett at Paws Animal Hospital. We have been going there for 3 years and can't say enough nice things about her care, staff and services.

would not suggest the Village Vet, as I have tried on many times to see if their service changes, and nope...poor unfriendly service from several, and it only takes one or two to make the visit unpleasant

I have used and am very happy with County Oaks on 441 in Summerfield. Mulberry Grove Vets are also very good. If you're looking for a mobile vet Healthy Pet The Mobile Vet is excellent.

I miss my Alternative Vet in Atlanta. Where can I find one here in TV or nearby? My vet in Atlanta does Chiropractic, homeopathy, supplements, acupuncture etc.
