Considering visiting in June and July

Realize this is rather strange question

What is temp like and are there activities during day (other than golf) or is it too hot to do anything during the day and most people just stay indoors

Do adult pools have shaded areas

What's your typical summer day like

Somebody help me please.

If you don't want to go outdoors, there are exercise classes inside and Bingo, Bunko, Mahjongg, Hand and Foot, Pool,Bridge, Painting classes, and Ceramics...I know there is woodworking.... AND over 1000 clubs, including The Village Idiots who go to breakfast in their Pajamas. The pools do have shaded areas and it is HOT and muggy in the summer. Not quite so bad in June. You can breeze around in your golf cart and sip a tall cool one at any of the Country Clubs and restaurants where strangers will strike up a conversation with you. My favorite is to eat lunch waterside at the Lighthouse. The pools feel so nice when it's hot. And they are always pristinely clean. You will love it here!

:welcome:

Be careful not to drink any water from The Villages. It has a compelling power to make you think obsessively about returning.

Most outside activities (like pickleball) are done early in the morning when it is still cool out ...7:00 am to 8:30 am. The pools are great and have fans and shade if desired. Everything is much less crowded. Come on down and have some :pepper2:.

We visited in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually, it wasn't as hot down there as it was in Jersey, but that could have been a freak happening.

We enjoy it here in the summer because no wait at restaurants, little traffic and empty chairs at the pool. We got use to the heat. We also like water volleyball.
However, on super hot days I recommend a nap! Then stay up longer at night as the evenings are beautiful. Great for walking under the stars.
