do you still have to file that you have health insurance all year??

I'm not sure about the health ins question, but if your adjusted income is less than $26,000 and if either homeowner is at least age 65, you can get a $15,000 deduction on your property taxes. It's called a Senior Additional Homestead. Call Joey Hooten's office in Bushnell and I believe the form you'll need is a 501SC. You can submit it with a 1040 or there is income questions on the form and then submit it by June 1st.

Just take your tax return to the county building at Pinellas and they will fill out the form for you in Sumter county.
