Finally.

That should bring other interested purveyors of breakfasts as well to the golf cart surrounding area.

AND they have wonderful lunches and dinners too. Try their roast beef sandwich and bowl of bean soup. You will think you are in Ohio.

Surprised Cracker Barrel didn't come, since they are more out of the bubble. Wonder if other bob evans will close

We were happy to hear of the new Bob Evans in colony as well. I've eaten at Bob Evan's establishments since I was a little kid growing up in Ohio.

So right. The service is always amazing and our Bob Evans on 466 has a lot of senior servers who are just wonderfully warm and thoughtful.

Hurray from us too, my husband and I have always said that Colony would be a perfect place for a Bob Evans! And it's Patrick's favorite too!

I had never been to a Bob Evans before moving to The Villages. Tried the one on 466 and enjoyed it. I now see why it is so busy.

I hope the Bob Evans on CR 466 doesn't close.
But it is next door to a lot of new construction, hmmmmmm.

I personally do not think it has anything to do with the other store. Geographically they will have little or no effect on each others clients.

On one hand Bob Evans in the area is great, on the other, I wish it was farther along the road and not in such a terribly busy area. Often it is difficult to get parking, traffic near Walgreens and the bank behind is dangerous and the golf carts share the road with vehicles. Past the Shell Station or some other equally convenient location would have been safer for everyone.

The one on 466 is WAY too busy to close. Any time of day, the parking lot is packed. They will be a huge success at their new location as well.

Not for me.....way too much MSG in absolutely everything....(even lettuce). Look on their web site.

Not complaining....my allergy..my problem.

The article said since TV CR466 location has done so well, they've decided to add a second location at Colony next to Walgreens. The article did say they were closing 20 locations nationally. The Leesburg location closed about two years ago, that was due to the construction and rerouting of traffic at the 441/27 split. The intersection has also claimed the Sonny's BBQ, so it was the location more than the business.

Hopefully they won't build a smaller unit like the CR466 location. I had two in the Baltimore area that I use to dine at, and they were both twice the size of the 466 location. The only negative is that it's almost too good a location. Judging from the amount of business at the 466 unit, this Colony unit will be inundated with customers. For example with PDQ opening, I thought McDonalds would slow down, but when I went there for lunch last week they had an order line through the store.

What's wrong with Darrels, McAlisters and Toojays? I'm glad Bob Evans is coming but there already were multiple good choices. Cinnamon buns at Burkes are very good and Fruitland Park Cafe is a family favorite.

Hope they build a large parking lot to go with it. Parking is terrible at Colony Plaza.

I go to Colony once a week (at least) to get my pool water tested. Despite the fact that it can be crowded, I quickly learned to use the entrance/exit by the gas station. Makes like much easier.

I take just one negative post to mean that this is a winner restaurant to most people and they share my positive feelings about it. Their salads are always fresh and yummy and I like the Colonial dressing (their signature) which is a sweet poppy seed. Their breakfasts are incredibly good and don't miss their big breakfast that comes with a crepe. DEEEE lish a mus.

I love their celery dressing that comes with their turkey plate. I really like their bean soup and their roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes makes you believe you are back in Ohio. (The CENTER of the universe)

Their management at every location I have ever gone to are excellent and the place is clean and the servers are excellent. No I don't own stock. I just love Bob Evans.

Bob Evans is great, no question. BUT, there is a very serious traffic/parking problem in the Colony area that will only get much worse when the Pine Ridge Village gets sold out. It seems to me that there needs to be a solution to the Colony problem BEFORE more restaurants and shops are opened. The CDD 7 commissioners are aware of the problem but evidently have no power to do anything about it. We live close to Colony and usually shop there. But, as many people know, it's dangerous to be anywhere around Colony for the better part of the day. Let's hope the developer has some plans to address the problem.

Not sure. I believe the article said next to Walgreens, which could mean the fenced in lot but there is also an empty parcel on the other side of Walgreens.

One of my favorite places to eat! Bob Evans makes the best turkey dinner and their catering services and prices can't be beat. I'm so happy they will now be a short golf ride away from me.

I didn't know they used so much MSG and they just confirmed as much today by email! Many migraineurs are adversely affected by MSG as it affects the brain and brings on the throb. Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't asking about it there but a few times did have reactions that I didn't connect to any particular food.

is it the lot they fenced in?No, according to The Villages Gourmet Club.

Their website is showing an address of 420 Colony Blvd. The Villages Gourmet Club Restaurant Reviews Page 1 (http://thevillagesgourmetclub.com/page1.html#B)

Google Maps shows this address between Walgreens and BB&T.

Time will tell.
