Not only does Obama appologize for the "sctions" of America. he agrees, in public, with a communist leader of a pi$$ant dot of an island's criticism of the USA.
It is all about Obama making his stock look good even in the eyes of the enemy at the expense of the status of the USA.
Show me another leader of any country or head of state that has so little respect for their country.
The man is a fool and continues to be a disgrace in the rest of the world.

Growing up with a Communist mentor, Obama is not going to disagree with a Communist. I am surprised that he has not endorsed Sanders. Of course, I am pretty sure that Hillary is blackmailing him with threats to bring him down with her if she is charged with the email crime.

I bet the poor of Cuba have a better health care system then the poor in the richest country in the US have.
But I don't want to say too much against the US, because everything this country does is the best in the world, that is why we lead the world on all relevant lists like educate, medicine, infant mortality, etc.

Hey, they opened Cuba, so why don't you migrate to that great country. They need some fresh workers in the sugar cane fields. Just think of all that free health care you get over there.

That's diplomacy, the art of dealing with people in a sensitive and effective way. I don't see it as weakness or bowing down to anyone. By choosing the words "I think" he can change or twist Castro's words anyway he wants if that works for our position. If the other person says he got it wrong there is no loss of face on either side.

So does anyone here disagree with the goals of excellent health care, old age security, and high quality education? If you don't disagree that those are worthy goals and legitimate interests of government, then you agree with Obama. Is it not possible that our "enemies" also have done some things right? Did Stalin rally his country at great sacrifice against the Nazi machine? Have the Viet Cong not lead to a stable and economically vibrant country? In this country, is it not likely we have made mistakes both in policy and execution? No system is perfect, neither perfectly good nor bad.
Obama has acknowledged historical missteps. Slavery was wrong. The decimation of our native population and culture was wrong. Apparently saying sorry is perceived as a weakness. I am sorry I believed that our ships were attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin and that if we did not stop Communism in Vietnam the whole of Asia would fall. I am sorry for the hubris America sometimes displays in telling other nations what is best for them.
And with all that I am proud to be American and recognize that we are a great country.
And I am glad that we have a President who has enough intellectual subtlety and gracious humility to not be a bully or a blowhard.

Obie is taking in a game in Cuba today. I don't know if it is still going on, but is it too much to wish for a wild pitch? Sometimes one needs a little jar to the noggin to jerk some sense into them. There is no sense talking logically to these people. They are all about hate, not facts. Our President is such an improvement over the Bush regime. Our country and Presdent is viewed in a more positive way than it ever was during the Bush years. Bush was looked at as a bozo cowboy. Obama is looked at as a classy leader. My spouse and I travel a lot, and no matter what country we go to, inevitably someone will come up to us and tell us how much they like our President. I'm proud of him and the job he'sm done in the face of the constant Republican obstructionism.

I traveled 243,000 miles last year and I never heard anyone say they liked Obamma...I am wondering if you and the wife were on a Democratic retreat in Kenya or a Democratic Hawaiian cruise?
I am also wondering what your definition of constant is? The republicans were elected to majority in 2014, how did they obstruct a democratic controlled congress prior to 2014? I think the guy golfed and traveled with friends too much to get anything you wanted done.

Conan OBrian went to Cuba recently and made a lot of funny little clips. Go to youtube and search for Conan and Cuba and you will see, flaws and all how the Cubans live. If nobody else is in the house, you might even laugh.

There is no sense talking logically to these people. They are all about hate, not facts. Our President is such an improvement over the Bush regime. Our country and Presdent is viewed in a more positive way than it ever was during the Bush years. Bush was looked at as a bozo cowboy. Obama is looked at as a classy leader. My spouse and I travel a lot, and no matter what country we go to, inevitably someone will come up to us and tell us how much they like our President. I'm proud of him and the job he'sm done in the face of the constant Republican obstructionism.

How do you know they're not happy? Do you see Cubans floating to the US any more? A huge group came when Castro took over. After that, the "refugees", the "boat people" were mostly family members trying to see/get to family members in the US because travel was banned.

This country has improved tremendously in this country in the last 7 years. Just listen to the people on TOTV. We are living in the best retirement community and Gov Scott indicates that Florida economy has also improved. Why would anyone want to go anywhere else?

I agree with you. I think Bill Maher makes an excellent case about religion, any religion being the cause of most wars.
