We'll be closing on our Alcove Loop Home in Hemingway on Dec. 30. We have it rented starting on Jan. 20 so we need to get it furnished ASAP! Has anyone bought furniture from Rooms To Go either in Leesburg or Ocala? We have been looking at their website, prices seem reasonable but we are wondering about the quality. Also any other suggestions for furniture stores in the area that have quick delivery.

I would try Kanes in Ocala for LR, DR and kitchen.
American Freight in Ocala has cheap BR furniture. Not the highest in quality not bad.
We got our beds at Dr Snooze.

Have you tried Southern Lifestyles in Spanish Springs? They have redone the store and have furniture in groups so you can buy for different rooms. The prices are very good and the quality is good also. I like SL because they will deliver free, set up the furniture, and respond immediately if you need anything.
I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the store after reopening and saw the furniture and prices.

We ordered a Broyhill love seat from JC Penney here in Calif and will be delivered to TV at no additional cost - shipped from Ocala Store. Penney's had it for $699 on sale, no payments no interest for a year, We checked it out at Southern Lifestyles in TV when we were in TV last month and they could only get to $1,400 - they said that Penney's has a very limited selection but buys large quanitities on special order from the manufacturers.

They were recommended to us for room packages for a home, but we haven't visited them yet (haven't bought a home yet).

Doesn't cost anything to look, and you might get some new ideas.

I like the new presentation of furniture at Spanish Springs Southern Lifestyle a LOT! Since we already have a houseful of furniture up(expletive deleted) North, we wanted to furnish our house in Hadley quickly and cheaply.( But we wanted it to look like a million bucks.) I really like the Broyhill line that they are now displaying at Southern Lifestyles in Spanish Springs. Also have found a lot of treasures at BARGAINS and TREASURES. I still visit them a couple of times a week.

The Southern Lifestyle stores (I can't remember the new name for the one in Spanish Springs) have sales help that can really sit and work with you, especially when you're doing a package. For instance they have tiered packages, with good, better and best quality selections, all packaged for your home. They have the model floor plans for TV, and even cutouts of furniture, so you can try different arrangements on paper (like the old Colorforms games). And they know what requirements there are for TV Property Management, so if you are using TVPM, you'll have no surprises.
We ordered a package from them, went back north, and they delivered and set up, and sent us pictures. They definitely make it easy!

We closed on our home here on a Wednesday. We went to Haverty's in Orlando on Thursday, purchased a whole house full of furniture and it was delivered to us the following Wednesday. I thought we would be here for weeks while we waited on furniture so this was a pleasant experience. Their customer service is excellent.

To answer your original question, Rooms to Go has quality furniture and, if I remember correctly, it was delivered in a few days.
We checked with several different furniture companies and thought Rooms to Go had the best deals and prices.
When it is time to upgrade or refresh, I will probably use Rooms to Go again.

I am still a big fan of Babette's in Leesburg. Excellent Customer Service

I also check Bargains & Treasures from time to time. I've found a few good deals there. However, when you go know your prices. Sometimes you can get new on sale some where else at same or better price. I vote for Rooms to Go. I had to go to them when Babettes took forever to get my DR from China. I found a better DR set in Rooms to Go and it was delivered and set up in a few days. I also go to Home Decorators Outlet on line. When I was helping a friend furnish an apartment, I found some great deals there. You do however, have to assemble the furniture.

Thanks Belle! I just visited this website based on your recommendation, and I ordered a little table exactly the size I need! :coolsmiley:
Thank you!
