Wow, I didn't realize the old Starbucks closed. I always thought paying $5 for a cup of coffee was insane. Hope Barnie's will be properly priced coffee and taste better.

As a loyal daily Starbucks coffee drinker I can tell you I have never paid $5.00 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I usually get either a Tall Decaf of the day...<2.00 (unless it is an airport) or a Decaf Espresso Macchiato usually about $2.50. (I pay extra for a third shot)

I was so excited when I saw the Starbucks on the Square at Spanish Square and then another at LSL. During my lifestyle tour I took the cart out every morning to get my fix at LSL.

Now I will have to trek a little further to Spanish Springs.

Sometimes Starbucks gets a bad rap.

Only 2 weeks until the trek to TV....Yeah. It was 21 degrees today here.

Well....you are both right....a regular cup of coffee is definitely not $5....but if you get a froo froo drink like I do.....it is most certainly about $5!!

Not to worry Cologal....there are 3 Starbucks in town....and one at Target!!

But the addition of a Barnie's will be great...a different choice! I have heard great things about them....and they are a local company....out of Orlando....

I love my Starbucks Venti White Mocha non-fat with whip and an extra shot....for $5.....BUT I love good coffee and will have to check them out!!

:beer3: (pretend that is coffee instead of beer...LOL)

I am the only person left in the universe who has never had a Starbucks...anything. I love coffee. My favorite is brewed by Sweetie. That man makes a good cup of coffee.

You think I am missing something?

$5.00 a cup at Starbucks! What do you gals order! I'm always there and a large coffee with caramel costs me $1.98. I love Starbucks but I'm always in the market for good coffee. It will be nice to have both Starbucks and Barnie's.
Yummmm. I'm sure they'll be similar in price.

Wow!! Sounds to me like Los Angeles was even more overpriced than I thought. Haven't had a Starbucks here but it was close to $5 for a grande size of lattee mocha with soy milk something or other. Problem with Starbucks is it tastes like gasoline so you need to doctor it up with all the flavors you can. Hope Barnie's will be better.

Helene that Chocolate espresso one sounds good, I'll try it, but not too often, I'm on a diet tooo.....

Large hazlenut iced coffee, cream and sugar, from Dunkin Donuts is still this RI girls 1st choice. It is especially refreshing, here, in warm Fl.. The McDonalds iced hazelnut coffee, is a close second!

I believe I just read in today's newspaper that Barney's is opening this week. I didn't pay a lot of attention because I'm not a big coffee drinker. A couple of cups in the a.m. will usually do me.

I read in the Daily Sun that Barney's is opening in the empty Starbucks on 466. That is in what is called Buffalo Ridge.

Has any one else tried MJ Bagels in Colony Plaza? Love the Kona coffee there!

I agreed Marianne....the Kona coffee was very good. We stopped when we were there for Thanksgiving.

Nothing Like a Venti Vanilla Latte... Heck when I was in NYC, I paid 6.50 for a vanilla latte.

I used to find the Starbucks regular coffee a little too strong for my taste, but I love their lattes. Now I've heard they changed their coffee and have a different blend? What makes Starbucks so nice is the atmosphere. I like having a comfortable easy type chair to sit in and read the newspaper and drink my coffee. In warm weather, the tables outside on Sumter are nice to sit and watch the activities in the Square. We'll try to save some nice weather for you, Cologal. Cassie, you're right, it will be nice to have Barnies as an alternative.

There is coffee and there are milkshakes and hot sweet drinks.

Coffee is .......McDonalds. Wonderful. Even better, the first steaming cup served to me by Sweetie at about five in the morning...with the paper. YES!

Never thought about myself as picky at the table but I can't stand flavored coffee. Hazlenut and vanilla...YUCKO.

Anyone else share this strange and isolated aversion?
