Wanted to share a fun thing to do near the villages. Yesterday I went horseback riding at the Happy Horse Farm in Weirsdale and we rode to Ocala National Forest. What a fun trip, beautiful scenery, great horses and a great guide.

Probably a good thing to do while your grandchildren are here during spring break. Riding is not timed and its just go out and enjoy. Rides are $50 pp. If interested, Call Patrick Atkinson 352 636 1908. Tell him your from Talk of the Villages and he'll give you special attention. Actually, he does that for anyone. If he can get me to ride and feel comfortable, he can do that for anyone.

Enjoy!!! :0000000000luvmyhors

Thanks KathieI. I have not been on a horse since a girl named Marie Davis gave me a ride on hers back in Reno, Nevada around 1974. I had to hold onto Marie the whole time we were on the horse but it was quite fun for a 15 year old and she was a 17 year old. This might be something fun to do.

I use to ride (western style) back in the day. I need to place that on my things to do list

Not much happened later. She showed me her fathers' guns, the dogs, and other stuff and then dared me to sneak past everything for another kind of ride that night. Which at 15 probably would have taken 12 seconds if that. Maybe 8 seconds.

I did run into Marie Davis when we were both at the University of Nevada, Reno and she lived in dorm like room without her father looking over her with his many guns, rattlesnake hides and the like. That's all a gentleman like me will tell.
