Anyone else seeing a lot of browning on their Sylvester Palms?
Suggestions as to what is causing this?

I have noticed this on ours, put not a LOT. I have taken pictures, and I intend to see the master gardener next Friday, at Pinellas Library. I have seen lots of palms with the same browning, so this may be normal, however I want to check.

We haven't noticed any browning on our double Sylvester.
We had an additional sprinkler installed at the base of the trees when they were planted in 2010 .
The Nursery suggested it.

Many times a couple of "shots" of milorganite is the cure.

Browning could be caused by over-watering. While newly planted palms need a good amount of water, more mature ones do not. The drip sprinkler which might have been installed when the tree was new should not be left at the same watering schedule once established.
