Our ID's are currently turned in, as we have renters in our home until 3/31. I will arrive to spend the month late on Friday 4/1 and I have two questions.
Can someone besides me pick up my ID so I have it available as soon as I arrive, or does it have to be picked up in person? And, on a similar note....hubby does not arrive until 4/15 (someone has to work!). Can I pick up his ID at the same time I pick up mine, or does he have to do it in person?
Thanks!

Maybe this will help answer your question:
"Resident ID cards are available at the Customer Service Center at 984 Old Mill Run, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents may be required to provide proof of identity (picture ID), ownership, or Villages residency. Please call the Customer Service Center at (352) 753-4508 for more information.”

I'm pretty sure this is for your "first time" ID cards.....as in when you got your photo taken and the whole shebang. Resident ID's are "stored" at the Sales Office in Spanish Springs. I'm inquiring about that location, and to pick up ID's that have been left there.

I also rent out my home and have to rent a home when I'm in TV. I've always had to purchase the resident ID's for $50 when I'm there. I'd love to hear if I could use my Resident ID when I'm there.

No, you would not be able to if your renters are using "your" ID's. My renters leave on Thursday and I arrive on Friday, so my ID's will be available for me to pick up. I'm just wondering if I have to do it in person.

Call the office at Spanish Springs. Your cards are in a file cabinet there.

call them at 352-753-6691. You used to be able to send an email authorizing someone to be your representative, but they just recently changed the rules, so not sure this method will work any longer. If not, they can email you the Authorized Representative Form and you can fax or email a signed copy back.

Ok....just in case someone else is ever in this situation. I called and the answer is.....you can give permission for someone else to pick up your ID's just be sending an email to tempids@thevillages.com. I appreciate everyone's input.

 Thanks....but I would guess most people would do the 5 min. phone call and not spend 2 days online.

Well, she got the phone number by spending the two days online. Might have taken a year of digging around in the phone book otherwise!
