We are not living there yet. That being said is the Smart Car thing in place of a golf cart for just running around the immediate area or do you take it anywhere? I'm not being dopey, a Smart car with heat & a/c may be good. Someone put a picture on TOTV of a Smart Car that hit a squirrel, not to funny. Probably safer than a golf cart. Can the MB dealer put a star on the hood so I could get into the German car club?

We got it as a second car and plan to use it mostly locally. The Villages is so big now that running from one end to another in a golf cart takes too much time!

If you were here you would see quite a few Smart cars, but more Fiat 500s, Nucky. With the Fiat you can join the Italian club, which I've been told has more benefits than the German club.

Smart cars are everywhere. They will fit in a golf cart garage. I would drive it up to a couple hour trip. But not multi state, not that it would not be a problem to drive, it's small

Only if you own the appropriate cars.

Wait - is there a hybrid German/Italian auto? Yes, it's a cross between The Thing and a Venetian gondola. It looks like this:

Most importantly, it always gets you where you need to be at least one hour before you need to be there. Which we all know is so important here in TV.

I like the way the thinking goes by the people in TV. It is unbelievable how much room these little cars have. We love Mini Coopers but I think smaller would suit us better as a second vehicle...one son had a Fiat it was a little tight for someone who is calorically challenged and the angle of the right leg for the fuel pedal is not good. The middle son has a Smart Car and it is very comfortable for me not tight in the hips at all. My son is invincible and drives that car anywhere and everywhere...nuts. Going to have to rethink this situation, I was looking forward to a cart but who knows I do love air conditioning.

I have a 2006 original smart car and I that it to Auto Masters in Leesburg.
352-314-3455. I have always had great service and they seem to have no problem getting parts for me if I need them.

They specialize in European cars.

Give them a call. Right on

Smart cars are amazing tough and rather safe. I owned one in Germany for a couple years, as a work car.

Here's a crash test done at 70mph into a concrete barrier. Pretty amazing.

Unbelievable. Really an amazing test. May be a good alternative. I'm going tomorrow to check it out. The white Smart Car in the test was the one somebody said hit a squirrel.
