When you advertise something or want a direct comment, PLEASE post a contact number. There have been several things on the classifieds that I was interested in, but no way to contact the seller!

In the classified, phone numbers are blocked or removed (as I recall), but there is a button to email the person. This is done for privacy reasons.
Hope that helps.

CWguy,
Sorry, it has been so long since I posted something for sale, I thought they were removed. In any case, I would never post my phone number in a public forum, I get enough crank calls as it is. Microsoft support called 4 times yesterday...............

 Never post mine either. Have no problem buying or selling on the site.
If you get a call about winning the Nigerian Lottery..... don't believe it.....because :22yikes: I won twice last week! I also extended the warranty on a car I owned 3 cars ago. I also get to talk "dirty" to Bridgette from CARD HOLDER SERVICES almost every day.

I have had no trouble contacting a seller by the email contact button - have you sunny46?
If I don't receive a return email I figure the item was sold, the seller is playing too much golf/pickleball to return emails, the seller lost chance to sell to me and I move on.

I agree. I have called, texted and PM some sellers and get no response. I don't bother much anymore with TOTV sellers...

simple instead of a phone number just put an email address in the ad. Could be an email you only use just for ads you place or your regular email address. Clicking on the contact the seller button had resulted in 0 of 5 people contacting me about items I was interested in.

Not everyone wants to be contacted by phone. As Jerry pointed out, you can just click on "Send the Seller a message". If there is no reply, the item is probably sold.

They (Microsoft Support) constantly call me too. It doesn't seem to phase these phonies that I only have Mac's LOL. Lately, just for fun, I tell them "you need to speak with my son". I then call out ... Herbie you have a problem with your computer -- come talk to these nice folks who want to fix it. Then I put the phone down and just ignore them until they get tired of waiting and go off to find the next victim. I know it's childish but it gives me a little satisfaction that maybe there will be one less call they can make that day.

We tried to contact support and the site was hijacked to a ripoff online service. So we never have our number available.

It is not true that the phone #'s are blocked or removed. I always add my phone # to my classified ads and they have never blocked or removed it.
I DO AGREE with the OP about requesting phone numbers as I constantly have problems with people NOT getting back to me when I message them. I have been waiting a week for a lady to call me back or at least let me know the item has sold. It is a common courtesy!!!

I honestly think most people don't check back for messages. Odd that they will post something for sale and then make it hard to sell by not posting a phone # OR email.............OR get back to you on a PM.
