One of the Villages' Subway managers died in a car crash. The staff are collecting money for her funeral.

Cora Lopez, 26, of Ocala, is being remembered for both her work ethic and her sense of humor.

She had worked at Subway shops in The Villages for several years and opened the restaurant at Pinellas Plaza.

I have found the Subway workers here in the Villages, for the most part, friendly. We never went to the Pinellas Park one though and I do not recall Ms. Lopez from the various other Subways we have been at since 2005 in this area.
