Disney Tickets

I need some advice on purchasing Disney Tickets. Is there a location in TV to get tickets? Are there "discount" dealers? Any info on getting Disney tickets much appreciated. (This will be my first time ever to Disney).

AAA will give their members a very good discount. My husband and I always get the seasonal pass.

You can only go at certain times of the year. Black out times are June 9th to august 22nd--- Dec. 22nd to Jan.6th and April 8th to 21st.

Now this is the good part, They are all very high trafic times and trust me you don't want to be in any park when it is loaded.

We have lived here for 38 years and went to Disney on the opening day, all six of our kids have worked at Disnay when going to UCF ( local College ).

There is a great Disney book by a guy named Steve Birnbaum called "The Official Guide To Disneyworld" or something like that. It's around $10 on Amazon and it's great. It has ALL kinds of information on the park, including things like climate, crowds, times to go to the park, what order to do things in depending on how much time you have there, etc, etc, etc. Considering how much you are likely to spend in the process of visiting the parks, the investment in the book is peanuts, and worth its weight in gold!!!
We have been to Disneyworld 20 or more times (not park visits, but weeks there) and it's a wonderful place. I buy the book anew each visit as things change regularly - it's always worth it.

I heard they are raising the prices at Disney again? I know it is expensive there. I rather go to Universal, alot more to do. Dont know if you are in Generations Gold, i think they have discounts if your a member...

Disney.com has prices for Florida residents. You can find some deals on multiple day packages. A Bit of advise, do not I repeat do not go at Christmas. That is the busiest week of the year at Disney. We made the mistake two years ago, and after about 4 hours at the park we left and came home.

Just got back from two days at Disney. HAD to go during Christmas in order to see the lights--The ones at Hollywood were breath-taking--5 million lights--all in sync with music. Even though there were crowds--which we expected---we enjoyed. Went to EPCOT and saw their processional--couldn't get a seat but could stand and watch. 50 piece orchestra--lots and lots of choir members (all high schools from diff states) Our first year in Florida---bought season tickets in July and have been at least once a month since then--stay for two nights. Have stayed at diff resorts--even Disney's Port Orleans Riverside---but have found Hawthorne Inn and Suites in Lake Buena Vista and we love staying there. Our passes were pretty pricey even being Fla residents (350.00 each plus tax) but we feel that by going once a month we are getting value per dollar. IT IS THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.:pepper2::pepper2::pepper2:

From Christmas Day to New Years Day is the busiest time of the year at WDW. On Christmas Day, Magic Kingdom will regularly close due to crowds, as can the other parks. It's a great time at Disney, but be prepared.

You want to buy the UNOFFICIAL guide to WDW. It comes out every year and is worth every penny.
I'd never go without it.

I can't wait to be full time Floridians......we will own the season pass.
