United Healthcare EMPIRE PLAN (NY)

Can any former NY gov't employee recommend a primary care physician (internal medicine or family practice) who recognizes traditional Medicare and United Healthcare's Empire Plan? Unfortunately, the office of the Dr. we were recommended to and who is listed in our "catalog" dropped it in Oct. and went with TV Health instead. My 38 y/o learning disabled son and I are both overdue for physicals and would like to get established here with a PCP as soon as possible.

We have no trouble using the Empire Plan (United HealthCare) at The Villages Health care centers. We have been with them for a few years, and the policies may have changed. Perhaps we were "grandfathered in".

We first started with Christine Stopyra MD who took a promotion and went to Mulberry Grove. We are both extremely happy with Smita Ojha MD at Creekside.
