If one is concerned about blood sugar levels, the "A1c" is a great test to determine blood sugar levels over time. I have mine done every 3-4 months.

I just use a True Result Meter and get supplies from Advanced Diabetes Supply. North Coast Medical Supply (http://www.northcoastmed.com/)

Are you saying vegans and vegetarians cannot have diabetes? They can eat all tbe sugar and potatoes and rice they want. Many are overweight. Meat doesn't give you diabetes.

I have never met or seen an overweight vegan, but I agree with you about the meat.

One does not have to be overweight to have diabetes - type 1 or type 2.

Unless of course something causes their body's immune system to destroy the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas.

A way to find out the Blood Sugar Levels is to sign on to the Internet and look
up "Blood Sugar Charts". That will give you the bench marks for your sugar
