My wife and I will be leaving the cold and snowy North shortly after Christmas for a three month stay in TV. We will renting a home near the Nancy Lopez course and will hopefully get a chance to meet all the nice people from this site.

I apologize for asking questions that have probably been answered a thousand times but at the moment I haven't spent much time on the computer doing necessary research as it is a very sad time for us. Our 4 month old granddaughter is having some very, very serious health issues and lives in Western Canada about 40 hours driving away. We will be arriving in TV with heavy hearts but I am sure that the 'spirit of the villages' will brighten our days.

1. Do I go to the sales office at LSL to get the amenity cards?
2. What extras should I expect to pay for that are not covered with the amenity cards?
3. What information do I need to take with me to the office in order get the cards?
4. I plan on signing up with villages.net which I am told is across the street from the office. Is there anything that I need to take with me to properly sign-up for both the golf access and the internet dial-up access.

Any information in these regards would be most appreciated and I thank you in advance for your help. Look forward to seeing you in sunny Florida early in January.

thanks
Doug

You will need a photo ID. Your amenities passes cover most everything. Sometimes there is a minimal charge for games or lessons, usually for the refreshments and usually it is only one dollar.

I know I join everyone here that read your post in hoping and praying for the best outcome for your little grandchild.

Know that you will be welcomed here with open arms and that this is a good place to be, especially when you are worried.

Seasons Greeting! Congratulations on your decision to get away from the cold and snowy north. I hope you'll join us at the TOTV Crispers January luncheon. It is always held the THIRD Friday of the month at 3 PM.

We pray for your granddaughter.

Thanks to you all..Just got a call from my son and found out that she is completely blind. Four months old...damn I am just devasted and sitting here in tears. Don't know how the villages can be fun now. My wife says I am a basket case and guess she is not far wrong.
thanks for the prayers and nice thoughts

Douga-My heart aches for you and your family. We have also had to live and try to be happy with a child who has had some devastating health issues. It's not easy but what choice do you have. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

There are no words to express how very sorry I am to hear the news about your granddaughter.

Your family will be in our prayers this holiday season.

While your vacation here may not be at the best of times, I hope you will find some relief and have some fun here.
