Clinton Campaign Accuses Sanders of Trying to Win Nomination - The New Yorker (http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/clinton-campaign-accuses-sanders-of-trying-to-win-nomination)
Is that true? I haven't been following politics for very long. Sanders was allowed to run as long as it was understood he shouldn't try very hard. It's a done deal.

It is funny. Kind of like TV wrestling where one wrestler goes off script and tries to win when he was supposed to lose. I bet that is exactly how the Dems are doing it.

Heck its not! If we take all the money from the hardworking rich people (even those ******** that inherited family wealth!) and give it to the poor, we will all be rich! Bernie might not be worth much financially (300K?), might not have done much in the 20 something years he has been in congress, but he is definitely ready to fix the inequalities with regard to rich and poor and run this country into the ground...LOL

YES, when a serial under performer in life, that has absolutely no personal wealth to show (for his age, education, or service) wants to take from the rich and give it to the poor, it does remind me of a Robin Hood adventure.
You might be ready to just throw the towel in (or have already) and just join the crowd of takers...but if we are all takers how is that going to work out? If we all end up with the same no matter what effort or sacrifice we put forward in life; why would I (or anyone else!) want to work? So they can be punished financially if they did better than "Poor Steve" or "Poor John" (like "Poor" was on their birth certificate, LOL)? I know there will be no incentive for me to do anything other than lay on my ass watching TV in the provided housing, while keeping up with my social media on my Obamma phone!

NO problem with that. In fact, I applaud it!
WTF are they supposed to leave their hard earned money to some loser smoking crack in an alley and not their family? Did you ride the short bus as a kid?
I work hard for what I have in life, have made personal sacrifices along the way. I have not made millions and maybe I made some mistakes that prevented me from making millions, that is on me. If I support them punishing someone else that made more than me, when they get done with him - I will be next!

Yes, I am more comfortable with them keeping their wealth and passing it on to whoever they want, it is their money after all.
It is you that has the brain washed problem. You are jealous of their wealth and you want to punish them by taking the wealth away from them and giving it to others that have done **** in their lives. That is ****ed up, the wealthy did nothing wrong, why are you taking their money from them? The wealthy person's kids and grandchildren did nothing wrong either and yet you want to grab the money away from them, so you can give it to some low life piece of ****, or maybe you feel it would be better if that money went to your kids and grandchildren? Maybe you did not work hard and smart, possibly you spent to much time cheating on your spouse or drinking with your buddies, but you feel you should have the same amount of wealth as everyone else that was not a screw up!
Whats next, we should all have the same vehicles as the wealthy, the same houses as the wealthy, maybe the same good looking spouse too?
Your making an assumption with regard to my understanding of the size of the gap, as that gap is not the same size for all of us on here.

Not too surprised to hear you are near broke. Stop whining over spilt milk, you can't change who you are with someone else's money. Possibly your parents refer to you as "Poor (insert your first name)".

Hate? Seriously? Why not just call me a racist, bigot, etc.? It seems that you liberals love to arbitrarily attach labels to anyone that doesn't share your idyllic view of the world...pretty pathetic really.
So, now you know what I think? Well, this is what I think, those that truly want to get ahead in life find a way. I never expected anyone to give me anything that I didn't earn, and I don't envy those that have been more successful, nor do I expect them to share the fruits of their labor with me.
I have spend much of my life living abroad and hold dual citizenship, U.S. and German. First hand experience living abroad and in the U.S. has proven to me that capitalism benefits far more people than socialism. But, then again in a free market economy you actually have to be productive if you want to achieve anything in life. Does the word productive scare you?
Have you ever lived in a socialist country? I like to hear about your experiences.

I just want what's best for my grandchildren, nothing more. I don't care who has more than me. I got free golf, a beautiful place to live and friends. I don't need anything else.
I just want my grandchildren to have the same opportunities I had. I can't afford to hire lobbyists to keep me rich so they can inherit it. All I have is a vote. And if I knew more about politics I'd probably find out that's worthless.

Why would they not have the same opportunities that you have had? What has changed? My children and grandchildren are well on their way to being successful. In fact they are likely to do better than my upper middle class income and lifestyle.
Do you really believe that an economy where the government controls the means of production and distribution (i.e., socialism) is the answer. Spend some time in a socialist country (not just a vacation) and you just might have a different attitude toward socialism.

Let's face the truth, this nation is sick because the sickies have gained control forcing their madness on us all. To the young and uninitiated its normal. Sickies latest are to celebrate A Day Of Silence in school across the nation to honor the LGBT community. Psychiatrist sickies are now promoting pedophiles as just normal people and with a little help adjust their desire for children to a desire only for adults. Is it any wonder these same medical people struck homosexuality from the DSM?
Our politicians are mostly sickies greedy immoral people taking money from whomever wants a favor.
Hollywood unquestionably is the modern day Sodom and has a great influence over the young
It explains why Hillary, Sanders, Trump Cruz and Kaisch continue in their bid. Who in their right mind would ever vote for any of these people
Obama continues to deconstruct America with no interference from political opponents or the press
The Supreme Court is a joke and ignores law in favor of politics. so since it does not do what it was created to do its now useless

There it is, the reason you want the successful wealthy guys money; your a "bustout". Wasted all that help "by the labor of your elders" didn't you!
You are brainwashed into believing your grandchildren will have no future unless we take the wealthy guys money and send our grandchildren to college with it...I bet none of the colleges have a problem with that notion, but why don't you ask the 30 year olds working retail and restaurants around here if they have a college education (I bet more of them do than not, and there was no jobs in their field when they got the degree). You don't have to go to college to have a good life and good income. I believe there is quite a bit of money to be made in the service industry (somebody is going to be paid to fix what ever the doctor needs to be fixed), but you got to be motivated at whatever it is you do (aspire to be more than the person working next to you). That might be hard for your kids and grandchildren, as they say; the apple does not fall too far from the tree. I guess that can be illustrated with the other poster that is not in favor of socialistic ideas, as he pointed out his kids and grandchildren are on the road to success, and you the "bustout" has to vote for free money for yours. So, GET A JOB LOSER!
The rest of us better STOCK UP ON AMMO!

They WERE wonderful places, until "they" arrived, the dark skinned minorities, now it's becoming "ghetto" like every place they amass in large numbers. Diversity is destroying these ones fine places as it did here.

Equality?
Just another political, special interest, minority game to give to those that which they did nothing to earn!!
How many times have we heard about incidents where the better qualified candidates for positions were passed over to allow a lessor capable candidate in the name of seeking equality?
If they did not earn it they should not get it.
Go back to the FAIR way of life....if you are the better man/woman....you win!
Those who do a better job than the rest get the raises and praises.
Just listen to Obam's half a$$ comments yesterday about erasing the inequality in the gender gap. Listen to the experts as they struggle to define what constitutes the definition of gender gap. We will never hear that most of the gender gap is a satisfactory status among the majority of those involved for many reasons they don't want to discuss. Nothing more than political BS! As evidenced by Clinton who in their so called foundation for what ever pasy females 38% less than their male counterparts.
Hypocritical, political BS to get the stupid and uninformed to vote for them.

Without quotas and affirmative action, the minorities would be left out in the cold...literally. What would become of them if we weren't forced to hire them? Would anyone hire ANY of them? THAT shows you how "equal" they are.
If you had a business where real work is done, how many women do you think you'd hire? They like to work inside, filling "make work" jobs for all the paperwork government requires. You hardly ever find women doing "real" work, strenuous work, building, digging, working in the cold and mud. They're hardly "equal". Without men, white men, the world we have now, wouldn't have happened. They are "The West".
What kind of a world do the minorities create? Somalia? Detroit? Chicago slums? Where are the great "maternal" civilizations? They don't exist...for a reason.

Obama's and Hilary's so-called female wage disparity is all a sham. Experts have proven, on both the liberal side and conservative side that there is NO disparity other than sports. And the only reason for the disparity in sports is because of sports fan's participation, as to the audience size in female sports versus the male sports. It has been proven that women get paid the same level wage as males in the same profession. The difference is in the past now. Obama and Hillary are attempting to hype the uninformed voters. That's the reason that they get so many low earner votes and ignorant elite votes.

That's the reason that they get so many low earner votes and ignorant elite votes. When someone says expert but does not provide a link it loses it's credibility.

Sounds like you are in angry white male who had either a minority or a woman as a boss and it really ****ed you off. You must really hate it that you have a black man As a President.

Yup...bosses, co-workers, teachers...ALL must have gotten there via a quota, because they were pretty near worthless.
Yes to that too...I can't believe how stupid the "people" are, to think he'd do anything good. He changed America all right, and handed "us" (not those he helped) the bill. Yup, $10 TRILLION dollars. You're share of the bill for the "change" is $30,000 so far. Every man woman and child in America "owes" an extra $30,000, our share of the federal debt, since O took office. Was it worth it? A years salary for the average worker. They owe a full year of work to .gov.
Keep voting for them Ds and Rs...run the nation into the ground. Hasten the decline into 3rd worldness. We can ONLY be "equal" when the standards have been lowered to THEIR LEVEL. We were number 1, 50 years ago, now we're in the middle, soon, after total "equality", we'll be with the likes of the African nations. Because that's what they do, they turn everything into a slum. Welcome to equality, welcome to diversity.

Angry? No, just telling you what I believe is the truth. The one's who's credibility is in question is the one who is deceived and can't see the truth. You are being lied to when they talk about the "equality". It's not anger, it's simply telling the truth and not the lies we're subject to every day.
Pray for me? You believe that other great lie? Religion. I'd pray for you, but I know it wouldn't do any good.
You're being led around by your nose, told what to think, what to say, who to vote for. Tear off those chains and be your own person, have your own thoughts, stop being lazy, open your eyes, and think for yourself.

Ah, but on the other hand you are going to take Hillary and Obama's word for it, when they have no credible evidence to support them, and their comments on the issues have been found to be wrong by almost every reality check website.
There is a gender pay gap, but not due to discrimination. The gap is due mostly to choices men and women make in their careers and not discrimination. Once you account for a number of factors, including taking time off from work and different careers, then there isn't any evidence that it's true discrimination. Men tend to take higher risk careers that pay higher due to the danger/risk than women. Women tend to take jobs requiring less risk and less pay. You are not going to pay a secretary the same as the executive. If you have a woman executive with a male secretary, do you think that the male gets paid more than the executive?
The only disparity is by choice. You can't mandate a population's choice, unless you take into consideration the socialists of communist Russia when it was the USSR.
Wage disparity is ALL HYPE being used against the ignorant, uniformed losers that are disgruntled, by the elite politicians such as Hillary and Obama to get their ignorant votes.
You ask for links? I raise you one better. Give me evidence of a career, other than sports where a woman gets paid less than a man, doing the same job. Good luck.

You are pretty miserable, aren't you? Religion? What religion? You don't need religion to have faith. I can understand how you can be so angry and helpless, when you have no hope or faith. It's OK, you can strike out at those that have what you secretly seek. They can take it, if their faith is strong. Anger is not healthy so seek some help.

Don't make comments that you can't back up. If you suggest that women don't make the same as men in the same job, then prove it. Give me some overwhelming evidence of disparity. Not statistics based on total income of women versus men when women take off to take care of family or women that can't or won't do the same dangerous jobs of men. Give me statistics that suggest that women doing the SAME job as men, make less. Other than sports.
I'm sure you can come up with something...right?

That just reinforces what I said. Women make the same as men IF they are working the same job. You are a typical liberal with diversion tactics of totally misrepresenting the facts. Women make less than men in that article based ONLY on statistics of male versus female total pay, totally disregarding type of work/career. This is typical liberal smoke and mirrors.
I will challenge you once again to come up with one piece of evidence that women are making less than men when they are both doing the same job, not including sports. Sports doesn't count because a lot of pay is for the entertainment value of the sport according to the volume of audience participation.
So, to make it easy for you to prove your liberal point, find me evidence that women are not making as much as men, while doing the same job/career.

You and I agree but we differ in the concept of fairness. Fairness is one of those tricky words. In fact if one is honest about it fairness doesn't except and progressives are pushing against nature to attempt equal outcomes.
It is a fact of life that some people are richer, better looking more athletic, smarter, meaner .................................
So what to progressives do well its not fair that woman are strapped with having babies let's allow abortion. Its not fair that people are richer than other people so let's equalize all incomes to be the same...........
There was a time when a young person said I am out to make my way, my fortunate, my destiny. Now, it is its not fair and because I didn't get the job I wanted so I demand forgiveness on my school loan. Its not fair that that banker trapped me into a mortgage payment I can't meet so forgive my mortgage loan. As an American I am entitled to a free phone, free, health care...............................

Your right on. Government's push for $15 minimum, push to mandate overtime even for salaried grades, Dodd-Frank, the regulations to collect data to show a disparity in gender wage , push by NLRB to promote unions, the refusal by government to lower corporate tax and laws now to stop inversions is going to play badly with our economy
Radical progressives are so tied up with their ideology that they can't see the forest for the trees and even when they do they deny it existence but then they are an existential threat to themselves

As to income inequality, or NOT actually, i have a personal example to offer. My husband and I have the exact same level of education and have worked in the same profession for almost 40 years. My husband made more money than I did (oh woe is me-sarcasm on). Here's why - he had a management level position (again, same profession as me) for most of his career. I had a similar position for only a few years, then took leave to raise our son. I continued to work but only part-time, while he worked probably 50 to 60 hours per week on salaried pay. Heck, now that I'm spelling this out, I'm realizing that I probably actually made more PER HOUR than he did! Although I do believe that income inequality existed years ago, my response to its existence today is "PSHAW". What I do see going on today between mine and my husband's profession and our son's, which is not the same profession but also white collar, is discrimination - specifically against the hiring of white men! Talk about an injustice. I am not in TV yet, and still in the work force and I can not tell you how many women have great jobs while their husbands are playing the stay-at-home parent role. And most times, it has not been by choice but necessity. Our society is definitely changing, I just question whether it is for the good. My gut feeling is that it is not.

What some of you fail to realize is that the same job, same pay point can have different people at different total wages/salary.
When their is a personal evaluation and raises given I do certainly hope the advocates of equality are not meaning that everybody gets the same raises.
Because that is not the way it works. Better performance equal bigger pay increases for the same job. The bigger increases go to the better performer.
I took great pride in the fact that my entire life I was well rewarded because I did the job better than anybody else. I got bigger raises at my performance reviews. And I was earning more than those in similar positions. Pay for performance.
Without pay for performance we stiffle the rising stars.
And anyway who ever sain the non performers should be rewarded anymore than they do. They are lucky to keep their jobs.
There is no such thing as equality in a competitive environment.
Just another special interest, monority group with the media and politicians attention. Otherwise = BS!

My experience in Human Resources/Management included both market competitiveness and fairness in salary. The variables that effect salary are the starting salary you were hired at. Market forces sometime require bumps in all salary grades if this happened shortly after you were hired the person coming in behind you starts at a higher salary. Performance rating affects salary, as will your chosen occupation and industry. Another factor are the benefits you receive. some companies pay less but offer better benefits. a big factor is the profitability of a company as well as the economy in general.
Look at the folks who got caught in the 2008 recession.
All of this factors and more apply to determining a competitive salary/wage, except if your a private/public union then none of that matters because the union bosses /politicians have this quid pro quo arrangement you pretend to negotiate union demands on behalf of the interests of taxpayers and will pretend you are resisting our demands. so successful has this arrangement been, especially for public union that workers in the same occupation in the private sector have fallen far short in both compensation and benefits. Ergo public union pensions take up about 40% of a state's budget in many states.

You are so right. Otherwise, what is the incentive? Even the most dedicated, self-driven employee needs the occasional incentive and to feel valued and appreciated. Without pay for performance, the lazy just get lazier and the ambitious get frustrated. Nobody wins, especially the employer.

This is ALL due to quotas and affirmative action. Women get it too.
Be honest...looking back...would you have rather stayed home and raised your son with the neighborhood women and the neighborhood kids? Going to each others houses, going to the park together. Teaching your children YOUR values. Just plain teaching your children.
Or, do you think it's better that the mother duke it out in the corporate world or service industry and have their child "raised" (because that's what it is when your infant/toddler is with the same people 10 hours a day) by Lawanda making minimum wage? Lawanda IS raising your children. And you wonder why they're "different". No values, no sense of work ethic. Well duh! Look who "raised" them...it wasn't you. Look at their "friends" at preschool. You approve of all of them? Even that psychopath in the corner influencing your child? 15 minutes with the wrong kid can undo years of careful raising.
I think we peaked in the 50s. For a million years, the roles of men and women were what they were. We opened Pandora's box when we destroyed the family and roots.

Since you quoted my post, I'll respond by saying I agree with you. I hope you got that from my post. Perhaps you were just using my post to elaborate more on the premise. When my husband and I got married everything we purchased, including our house, was based on one income. We could have had so much more if i had continued to work but material things were not that important to us. It was more important that I was able to stay home to raise my son. The only reason i even worked part-time was because my profession is such that an extended leave would have prevented going back to the work force if the need arose to do so. I made sure that most of my working hours were when my husband was at home. I did enjoy doing all the things you mentioned in your "looking back" paragraph and the only thing I regret is that it went by too fast. It was the most important part of my life thus far.
Of course, there are families that struggle financially and both parents must work. This was true even for my own parents back in the 50's. The way they dealt with it back then was that my dad worked a day shift job and my mom worked evenings. It wasn't easy but they made it work. We were never left alone or with someone else unless it was family, and my mother had dinner on the table every night for us before she left for work. They worked hard both at their jobs and at home. I guess that's how my siblings and I developed such a good work ethic. The problem with many young people today is that they want it all and do not want to sacrifice to put their kids first. They think they are putting them first by being able to buy them everything they want and keeping up with the Joneses. They also often lack the support system. Families are far away and neighbors are not so close knit.
Anyway, we are not in disagreement. The world is a mess and it started with the loss of traditional family values as you said.

Since you quoted my post, I'll respond by saying I agree with you. I hope you got that from my post. Perhaps you were just using my post to elaborate more on the premise.

Yes, I was elaborating...
It STARTED long before that...this is just one of many nails in the coffin.
Enjoy the bubble for as long as you can. It's getting seedier and seedier out there. Not the America I remember.

Exactly. Already more minority children than white children are enrolling in school. That means the "immigrant baby boom" is already 5 years old. This will destroy the character of this country. Wildwood, Leesburg, that's the future.
Keep the bubble intact as long as you can! Keep those prices HIGH! The best thing the villages mgmt could have done is upgrade the mobile homes on the historic side, keep those prices up.

They don't want to live with us, they want to take money from us. The only thing the Village gates will do; is let them know where the money is!
