Went to the Comcast Office in late March and canceled my internet as of 4-7-16.I will not return to TV for 5 months,so I am hoping to get the new account rate of 29.95.
Well I checked my account a few days ago,the service was not terminated and my new bill is $69.95 and my auto pay was still active.
After 3 phone calls with about 60 minutes on hold a credit for $69.95 has been issued but my account has the internet as connected.Looks like more follow up needed.
If you cancel Comcast service you need to follow up and make sure the cancellation was process correctly.

I always have problems with comcast, dont kkow how they can keep their monoply in the northern part of the villages. But they do.
I am always correcting their mistakes, hard to believe they are one of the biggest companies . I suppose they give to both parties to maintain the monopoly. Trully wish i lived nearer a big city to get over the air, plus competion, we are here for the plucking.

I would recommend against auto pay to any business. I hesitate to give anyone access to a checking or savings account or a credit card. We usually just go on 'Seasonal Suspension' which is merely leaving everything in place and paying a monthly fee of $14.47/mo. which is rental of the box and (stupid of me) renting the modem. Long story short but we had cause to be up north from December on and I scaled back on services i.e. HD, DVR, channels received. I would love to see some sort of competition but I doubt that will happen. Good luck to you.

Oh yes, do not put Comcast on autopay They are the worst, get a paper bill in the mail and write checks. This ,and my lawn service are the two that i do not have on autopay.

Must have a lousey lawn service. The same folks have been doing my lawn for 3 plus years and several years before me with the previous owners. I have them on autopay. The bank sends them a check each month and the lawn service shows up each week.... I all depends on who you can trust.

Agree and have Brighthouse for phone, cable and internet...also on autopay...no problem with lawn care or Brighthouse.

Sounds like you may have a recurring monthly check sent by your bank via your banks bill pay.....which you control.
The auto pay by companies like Comcast are authorized to deduct their payment each month from one's bank account. Comcast is in control of the deductions until such time as the auto pay is cancelled.

We are on autopay for every bill except Comcast. We receive an email from Comcast with our itemized bill. I check the bill and then I pay it through Citizens.

We've had Comcast for the past year. No billing issues. In addition, we had them in NoVa, again, no billing problems.

Don't you also have access to Centurylink, as well as Directv?
