We just got home from Cody's in Brownwood.

I thought I had left my wallet at home, but when I got in our cart there was a note on the steering wheel that the wallet was seen on the seat and put into the glove compartment.

Thank you to the unidentified Villager!!!!

I am delighted but not at all surprised.

That is the norm around here. We, the silent generation and the Boomers have strong moral character, most of us anyway.

I don't mean to put a negative spin on this, but thank goodness someone with less than good intentions didn't read the note.

Anyway, glad you got your wallet back. Kudos to the Good Sam.

Obviously a nice story... losing a wallet is a real PITA

The paranoid part of me would never have left a note telling anyone that can see it where your wallet is

I would have been torn between taking it for safe keeping and leaving you my phone number or if I had thought of it; leave it in your glove-box and left a note with my phone number so you could call me and I then tell you where it is...

That kind of takes me aback too. I would have left a note with a phone number telling the person to call me as I have your wallet and if you match the IDs its yours.
