The small town priest was called into the big city to see the Bishop. As he was walking around, a woman approached him and asked, "Want a quickie Father? Only 20 dollars." The priest said, "No, than you" and kept going.
He passed another woman who said, "Want a quickie Father? Only 20 dollars." Again, he declined and kept walking.
He thought to himself, "I wonder what a quickie is. I'll ask the first person I see when I get back to town.
When he returned, the first person he ran into was Mother Superior. The priest asked her, "Sister, what's a quickie"? She replied, "Same as in the city, 20 dollars".

I'm hoping there's no malicious intent here, and only an awkward attempt to share one's idea of humor.
It fell short of the mark for me at least, and is highly offensive.
Others in this day and age may differ and chide me, but so be it. I am an Anglican Catholic and proud of my religion. This went overboard. :(

I am a Lutheran and too found it kind of offensive especially with all the inroads this Pope has made with addressing the problems of sexually active priests.

:1rotfl: I'm Catholic and found it funny! I also found it funny that the two replies knew what a Quickie was.

If you have watched almost any PG movie that has something to do with sex you probably know what a "quickie" is.

Somehow, the image of a Mother Superior with a wooden paddle to the good Fathers behind might be more appropriate and funnier.

its an old joke that has been around many times. not offensive at all unless you read into it things from your own mind.

This one shouldn't be offensive. I watched the movie St. Vincent yesterday and in the opening scene Bill Murray tells this story.
Man in a bar tells a joke—
“A women answers a knock on the door and an Irish man asks if she has any work he can do. She responds that she needs to have her porch painted. He agrees and two hours later he knocks again and tells her he’s finished. As he is leaving he says,”Lady, just so you know, that wasn’t a Porsch, it was a BMW.”

I'm probably not as offended as you are. But it is in rather poor taste.
Good jokes can be made about religion, but this is not one imho.

Given what has happened to religion in our society the OP's story should hardly create a stirring. I am offended with Hollywood's movies/TV depiction of clergy, I am offended by the attacks on Christianity in this nation. I am offended by the continue assault on religious freedom/liberty
Now that I said all that perhaps we should be appreciative that the OP shared this story because what the story showed was that both the priest and Mother Superior were aware of the secular world and its sinners.
I personally always appreciated clergy/nuns who were savvy vis a vis naivete'
