I am enjoying watching OPEC and the Mideast oil producers squirming as oil prices plummet on the open market. They cut production to record low levels and what happens the next day?: oil prices drop again. Americans are driving billions of less miles and it is hurting those that so badly want to hurt us. I hope we learn something from this and continue our current course of using less and less and hurting them in their bloated pocketbooks more and more. I wonder if the average American feels some sense of validation that they have, at least for the moment, taken the Arab oil stranglehold off of our necks.

I'm fearful that stranglehold will return unless America finds alternate energy sources. This seems to be a problem with our country; as soon as energy prices decline, people "forget" how vulnerable we are as a nation that cannot survive without foreign oil .
