Please post a contact number in the classified section if you want to really sell your item. I can't tell you how many items I have passed on because their was no way to contact them.

I'd be happy if people would post prices on real estate listings.
I'm looking for houses for 2 different friends and I looked at 5 listings today, none had the price. I'm not going to spend my times making unnecessary phone calls.

I contact the sellers by using the contact seller option on the classifies page and/or a pm if the item is listed in the regular messages forum. Did neither of those options work for you?

Should I ever sell something in Classifieds [rather than buy as I do! ;)] I would prefer to deal with mail so that day/date/time can be recorded to know who responded first to my ad. Besides, we don't like giving our phone number to folks we don't know.

I have used the feature to contact them numerous times, but have never had anyone respond to me.
As far as putting your number out there, how do you think they can contact you?

an email address works well for that. No one ever responds when I click contact the seller.

Perhaps next time try sending a PM to the seller when you see the item on the msgs forum besides the Classifieds section. Works for me - I include my tele number to the seller and have had call backs from them.

Maybe there is no response because the item is sold or pending sale? Sad that your sellers never let you know.

Are you using "contact seller" option? Many people don't want to list their telephone number.
If you're not hearing back, the item is probably sold.
In a perfect world the seller would be polite and let you know.
But sometimes sellers are swamped with potential purchasers and can't be bothered to respond.

I am with the OP, no phone number = no interest from me!
I also agree with the poster about including your price, if your too embarrassed to post the asking price = I don't need to waste my time contacting you!

If I am that bored; I will go kick tires at the dealership...You want to hang on to your items longer and waste more of your time bumping ads, have at it.

If a person takes the time to upload a photo(s) and write a description, they should also take a minute and edit their Classified and show it as Sold. Don't leave it hanging out there leaving other to believe it's still for sale. JMO
