My contract is up with AT&T and I am able to get a new phone. Right now I have a plain phone with a camera but I was thinking of getting something a little more up to date. Any ideas???? How much does email or web service cost? What about a GPS on a phone?

My wife recently got a new phone that has GPS, Internet, texting, camera and even telephone. She uses Sprint but I am sure all cell providers have similar phones - Verizon included.
The GPS work great.

I am in the market for a new phone also. I have AT&T and have had them for several years. I like the rollover minutes! I have 4 phones and 450 mins. a month, plus nights and weekends. I have never used all of my mins. I talk with people in my network a lot so it doesn't use mins. I went to the AT&T store yesterday to see about the phones available. I am seriously thinking about the IPhone! It has and does everything! It cost's $30 a month extra, but that includes the GPS, internet, email, music, pictures, videos, games, text messaging, etc. I like the hands on features and love the fact that I can make things larger. It really helps at our age! ;) The phone is not cheap, $199 with a contract, but I think it will pay for itself with just the GPS function. Now I don't need to buy one of those! Just my thoughts...

I-Phone is nice. all the 3G phones do alot. SPrint has the Rant if your into texting, has the slide out Keyboard. If you want the phone to do it all, go with the I-Phone or the Verizon Blackberry-Storm. Both have touch screens which are nice. I have the New Nextel BlackBerry 8350i Curve. Very nice also if you have Nextel. It allows you to Text, Email, has a camera, surf the web, easy to forward contacts to others. Anytime you add the unlimited email and web to the phone you will add 30 to 40 a month to your bill. but with that you dont need home phone. You can do all your work on the phone. Verizon has the best coverage from what i can see. Go to Best Buy in the Village Crossroads. They have most of these phones there so you can see them and hold them. That way your not just looking at the picture on the web.
Hope that helps.

I'm writing this on my iPhone. We are in TV for five days, and the iPhone is my only access to the internet and phone service while here. I like the many features of the iPhone, but most important to me, is the support I get from Apple, either by pho0ne or by going to an Apple store.

Yes, Kayacker, it did post twice. I tried to delete the second while using the iPhone, but thought I might end up posting three times. I still love my iPhone, and when no other internet access is available, it is wonderful to have.
