Does anyone know if Disneyworld gives any type of discount pricing for Villagers and family guests?

The only discount I've ever heard of is the one for Florida residents. And you do have to be a resident. I've heard that they have people in the crowds lining up to get in greeting kids and asking where they'e from. If they give an out-of-state hometown, when they get to the turnstyles with a "Florida ticket" purchased by Grandma or Grandpa, they are asked to provide verification of residency.
Disney makes it fair for everyone. You might as well buy your tickets at bthe local Disney store up north. There are no deals.

Get a Florida~only drivers license and you can keep your "home state" one also.
The florida only gets you the resident discount at Disneyworld (we've done this) and it's a very good discount on lots of things.
TV doesn't get you anything more in that regard.

When I still lived in Florida I used my drivers license to get the Disney Florida Resident discount. It was good for my use only. Now that I am moving back to Florida I plan to get and use the Florida resident pass again. If you want to get another good deal. get a Disney VISA card and collect the points from every purchase you make. I have used my points for shopping at Disney and for paying for the park passes for a visitor who went with me. If you are retired military you can also get discount passes by purchasing park passes at the Shades of Green military resort on Disney. It is just across from the Polynesian Resort.

When we got our Florida Drivers License, they kept our New York license and would not give them to us. I don't understand how you can have a license in more than one state.

Talk host,
I've got 2 driver's licenses, I own property in 2 states. I'll show 'em to you!
The Florida one says Florida only on the back, and I had to show proof of ownership. If a permanent Florida resident, you do have to give up the other.

PS - I learned about Florida-only licenses on the TOTV board, it's been on prior threads!
I learn so much here.

Bingo, here is the place, caveman's list of things to know about moving to TV:
"Apparently, you can keep your out of state driver’s license if you request a "Florida Only" driver's license. If you are a snowbird and leave a car in Florida, that car needs Florida registration which needs Florida auto insurance which needs a Florida driver's License (the insurance carrier will issue a policy with the proviso that you send them a copy of your Florida driver's license within 90 days or they cancel the policy - you need proof of insurance to get registration but you don't need a Florida driver's license to get registration). Get the "Florida Only" driver's licenses to meet these requirements."

Also, when you go back up North, some companies will allow you to suspend coverage that you do not need while auto is in storage.

I got a Florida Only license last January.
You need your out of state license, your birth cert or passport, they give you a eye test and you pay $25.25 (like the song - in the year . . . ), you can put your Fla address on it or your out of state address! your choice. They issue it to you immediately at the local office - very slick operation.

we got our florida Only licenses in November. it only took about 30 minutes and was about $25 each. We kept our Ohio licenses. We went to the office in Wildwood. No problem.

What did you use to show proof of ownership ???? Did you have to show a deed or will your Villages ID suffice.??????

I had two drivers license for awhile also, as a retired trooper, I knew this couldn't be done back home. Due to homeland security issues etc you can no longer do this in Florida either. It was nice while it lasted...

It sure does look like Disney is far more capable of judging whether a person's claim of state or U.S. residency is valid than the U.S. government is.
