I told the All Booked Up store at Colony the title of your book. They are good to work with and might be able to order it for you. They'll give a 25% discount on orders of 5 or more. I don't know if they currently have any copies in stock.

Hi Novelchick, thought you might be interested that Joey (Joe) Mantegna is an old high school boyfriend of mine! I'm very proud of his success and love Criminal Minds. It's my favorite too, but really because I think it is so well written. We are also big Law and Order and CSI fans. ;)

Yes, that's him. He was in the year ahead of me at Morton East High School in Cicero, IL He's a sweetie! Used to practice with his band at my Dad's tavern on Sunday's. Homecoming and all! I could say I took a wrong turn in life (could be rich in Hollywood) but I adore my husband. So, I know I took the right path.

The person who started this thread and posted the time of the meetings, Novelchick hasn't posted for a good while.
I see no reason why we who love to read True Crime books can't continue on and decide what time to meet. I hope if such a book club starts you will keep us posted. Unfortunately, I won't be there until October or I would volunteer our home to meet in.
I am looking forward to taking the course called "The Criminal Mind" at the Lifelong Learning College too. I just love to hear why people do the things they do. I have been reading true crime since growing up in my grandparents house where my grandfather was a police officer and he had a lot of detective magazines that I would sneak around and read until I got caught.

I'd love to be kept informed, also, and could host some of the meetings at our house. After all, nonfiction is stranger than fiction!

I know. That is probably why she isn't posting. I think she was banned for pushing the envelope and I was trying to avoid bringing up past troubles or causing any troubles.
I am missing you Barefoot at last! We are going home to TV for the next two weeks and I know you are stuck up there in Canada. The summer is passing and it won't be long until you too can return to Paradise.:pepper2:

Please count me in on this too. I will be arriving in Sept. and am very interested . I too have many policemen/women in my family and have always been interested in their stories, and I follow all the trials locally. When does the course on the criminal mind start? I would be interested in that too, if the timing is right.

Thanks GG. My six-month Canadian exile is over in October. :pepper2: I envy you having two weeks in The Bubble in July. You'll have to post how you feel about the summer weather!
I am also a big fan of true crime which Fireboy cannot understand because I'm usually a peace-loving person. But I find it absolutely fascinating to hear about true crimes and the circumstances that led up to the behaviour. I have a couple of favourite true crime authors and I'm a big Nancy Grace fan (even though I find at times she is a real whiner).

Well I'm glad I bumped this thread up as it seems there is still interest! I have been searching for a book club to no avail as I'm not a resident of TV. But I love to read! I also work for law enforcement (well I'm a secretary at the Federal Prison but we're all officers first as they say).
