I am thinking of purchasing a new Par Car. I would like to know the pros and cons by current or past owners. Would like an objective view...not the sales person's

MY OPINION

In my 2+ years here, I have golfed every week and gone to functions at the squares & rec centers.
One year ago I probably would have recommended a Par Car
Today I would BUY & recommend the EZGO RSV

My associations have heard more complaints about Par Cars than kudos.
And the recent observations of new EZGO's is noticible.

I would look into the new EZGO, if I were in the market it would be my choice.

I have had a Parcar for over 2 years think it's a great machine. However, to get the small amount of needed service, I have had to beg for a response. I do think Parcar is getting a little better on service.

I love my Columbia Par Car and find it extremely comfortable and reliable. You can see in my avatar that my big dog likes it also.

I have a club car Precedent and love it. When I was looking around for a new cart, the first thing the dealer asked me was what I was trading in because the one they wouldn't take as a trade-in was a Par Car. When I asked the reason, he said they are junk and no one wants them. Yet, I see many of them around. I just mentioned this because of the trade-in value. I understand that the new Star cart is becoming very popular. Golf cart Connection is selling more of them than the Club Cars, I heard. Golf cart Connection has a good reputation.

I was actually trading in a Club Car. These dealers would take anything as a trade-in except a Par Car.

I love my Par car. The availability of 13 inch tires was a big plus. Also, I would always believe what a competing dealer tells me.

I really think that most of the carts have pluses and minus's. I like the Par Car because of the large wheels but thought they were a little pricey. I liked the new ezgo but wasn't sure about buying the first year after a redesign. Ended up with a club cart from Grandma and Grandpas carts. So far no problems and their service has been great. I have heard kudos and complaints about all the makes so buy what you like and hope you don't get a lemon. I liked Grandma & Grandpas because it is just the two of them and Scot does the work and they are Villagers.

Last year I did extensive research and we settled on new Par Cars. We bought two of them and they were a little pricey...but I like the electric for the noise and gas smell issues. Par Car goes the farthest on a charge (I have been from Lopez to buttonwood and back twice in one day and then played 9 holes of golf on the same charge. They are inexpensive to run...and I can plug it in anywhere with a regular old extension cord if I do run into charge up issues (which I never have). I agree with the service issues needing to be streamlined, and they need to work on that part for sure because they are so far away and have to transport the carts to Leesburg. Do good research, and make your best informed decision...that is what I did without sales peoples input or pressure from anyone else...happy hunting...

Have had my ParCar for over 6 years. I love it! It is the most comfortable one I have been in! Service is always good.
