A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Some people should be aware of my 224 613 story.
It has often got me thinking of Fate and Destiny and how much we control of our lives. I did try to get some control over my destiny by earning four degrees to have some say but then circumstances have often thrown me a curve ball so to speak quite often as you can see if you Google Taltarzac725.
I chose to try to go into a very small profession where a few people control the futures of the rest to a great extent. That was law librarianship in 1989.
But my life experiences made keeping certain interests of mine private very hard especially after the American Association of Law Libraries convention the Summer of my Graduation from Law School (1989) was back in Reno, Nevada where I was the cataloger in the WESTLAW database cataloging Project while a woman at SUNY at Buffalo was doing LEXIS.
I could not keep quiet about the niche in practical information for survivors/victims of crimes I had seen from February 28, 1976 while trying to follow the Michelle Mitchell murder investigation for myself and for fellow Earl Wooster High School students. 2-24 is also birthday which I am reminded of pretty much several times a day.
So there is wisdom in accepting what you can change and what you cannot. But if you cannot change the minds of people within a small profession of law librarianship, you can try to get the larger society to look into the needs of under served people--such as survivors/victims of crimes-- and see how many groups of people can persuade the much smaller group to change how they do business. Something I have been at over 25 years and am still working on.
I minored in Religious Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno so I am deeply religious in my own way as I am not much for organized religion. I do think we are on this earth each one of us for a reason but it is very difficult to see just what is God's plan. I was raised a Lutheran so I take my own counsel in looking at The Bible which I have read quite a bit for my Minor as well as for guide with dealing with all lives ups-and-downs.
The Bible also is needed quite a bit as a reference when studying Philosophy and History. Two BAs I have from the University of Nevada, Reno (Classes of 1980 and 1981).
I had gone to BYU Law School on a Merit Scholarship (my college grades and LSAT score were extremely good) for ten days in 1982 but the cultural shock was a bit too much for me so I left with plans look into Law Librarianship as a possibility after how difficult I found using the Law Library at BYU. I did get a MA from the University of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management in May 1984 and then a Law Degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in May of 1989.
Why do I keep bringing this up? Because I believe that seniors in the Villages as well as those on TOTV have wisdom from life experiences with gauging just what needs in libraries of all kinds, survivors/victims of crimes might have. Especially if these seniors are retired law enforcement officers, lawyers, social workers, teachers, physicians, nurses, librarians, etc.
I also believe that Fate-- or whatever you want to call it-- drove me out of Palm Harbor-- through the bogus lawsuit threat dated March 2, 2004 from the Palm Harbor Library General Counsel on behalf of the Palm Harbor Library Director Gene Coppola. I was fighting with Coppola about a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory which they had for a few years but then dropped about six months or so after I stopped volunteering at the Palm Harbor and East Lake Community Libraries. Fate finds me in the Villages and on TOTV as well as still trying to get more people to help with meeting the informational needs of survivors/victims of crimes. Check my Photobucket array for various documents about this 224 613 Project. Google Taltarzac725.
I am sharing these documents all over the world on Facebook as well but would really like to really have an impact on my local community. And there are many people on TOTV from different communities who would have good ideas of how to improve library materials. These are YOUR libraries for the most part or were while you paid taxes for them.
And 2016 is a perfect time to really push this beast of a Project. I thought about 2012 but did not have everything set up just yet with how I could make a difference with it. Again. Google Taltarzac725 and you should find out why. There was also that Brandeis University The Justice e-mail I had sent them along with many others around 2003 which re-surfaced around 2011 which kind of stopped me from doing much of anything else at that time. I do have hundreds of thousands of e-mails floating around out there dating from 1999 through 2010. But these can be re-published by anyone who has a mind to do so as with The Justice at Brandeis University. I was thankful though for them giving me a kick in the butt in 2011.
I have tried to get a lot of Hollywood people interested in this since late 1991 because they are usually very empathetic and are good at story telling and changing people's hearts and minds through these stories.
