New Home, Rental Suggestions

We are going to be closing on our new designer home in Hadley next week. We are very excited. It is our dream home on the golf course but we won't be able to move for a while so we would like to talk with some property managers to see what it takes to put it in the rental market.

Could anyone recommend a reliable manager that we should contact while we are there? Of course, there is always the possibility of renting it on our own via a web site like **** and contracting with a cleaning crew. Also, we would be willing to offer a long term rental unfurnished, in which case, would you suggest we still put it in the hands of a property manager?

Any thoughts on these options would sure be appreciated. TV rocks!

One suggestion I would give you is dont pay anyone in advance. Lawn care, cleaning , etc. We had a cleaning lady and always paid her a couple of days before the first. It was ok for about 8 months and then we never heard from her again. We have heard the same thing for people who have paid for their lawn care in advance.

If you can find someone willing to do a long term unfurnished , I would think that would be a great plus.

I highly recommend H & H Property Management, if they are taking new clients. Vilas Hinkle mainly runs the business and she can be reached at vilashin@yahoo.com. We purchased our home the end of October remotely. We then paid her to furnish and do everything necessary to rent. She is wonderful and very careful with your money. I can not say enough good things about her and her husband.
