Just wondering if there are any other Raspberry Pi users out there.

I've got a couple of Pi's great way to learn programming.

I have one but have not really done much with it. I did hook it up with a mouse and keyboard to a small TV and it works.

I got my Pi3 a couple of days ago. Still playing around with various distributions. Hoping to install KODI today and then... :posting:

I have one...cant yet find anything that I need to do with it, other than aggravate myself with a non-supported open source share ware device that can do nothing that other devices dont already do.

I'm hoping to control my 3-D printer with it. I am currently using my PC.

Why always so negative Edison? Some people just want to experience something new,try different things and maybe learn things they don't understand.
The best thing about the Raspberry Pi is that the organization is non-profit and helping schools to teach programming to young children (and us oldies).
There are many websites setup by individuals for the learning of programming the Linux OS. Lots a love there.

My only thing with the Pi is that a clients IT guy decided to get one and mess with a functioning Domain and try to apply tasks to it. Of course this was a mess. So, we fired the IT guy and removed the Pi. I inherited it and so it sits. If I had some time I would play with it. Neat and all, but, no practical business use that I can yet find in most environments. Even more so one that is mission critical and has a few dozen employees on it. IT guys need to play on their own time, on their own network. So, that said - my only experience with the Pi was it crashing DNS on a network (by design by a foolish IT guy).

I am retired so business related the Pi does not work in.In Ubuntu Mate you get a nice OS with firefox as the browser. In OSMC you can program it to listen to music radio.Which Pi do you have?I wouldn't be surprised that the IT guy has a awesome job for thinking outside the box.Our missile system in the pentagon is still run of floppy disks.I worked for Honeywell the most advanced tech company at the time and they hated change. And me

Just saw an article in Nuts & Volts magazine doing exactly what you are looking to do. I do not have a 3D printer yet, so did not pay a lot of attention to it. I could did it up if you are interested.
