My favorite law librarian at the U of MN Law Library used to call me John Boy. It was kind of irritating at the time but he was the person that seemed to get the huge hurdle I was facing with my desire to be honest with the niche I had found in law librarianship with respect to practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes. He was there for me for a shoulder to cry on the Summer of 1991 at the New Orleans American Association of Law Libraries convention. Not sure what happened to him. One of the nicer people I have met in law librarianship over the years. He was gay so he knew the problems facing law librarians who might have some kind of agenda other than just getting law professors legal information and training law students how to do legal research.

Just a little aside and a memory from the start of my 224 613 Project.

But, boy do I like the taxis. Of course, I could still just be crazy.

I am straight but get along quite well with gays and lesbians. Spent one interesting Thanksgiving with the almost all gay Oakland, CA Chorus back in 1985. The woman I was dating was one of their opera singers. A sketch I did.
