I have a 1965 Yamaha 80 I got new, that needs what I think is carburetor work. A few months ago I took it to a Yamaha dealer in Ocala and they got it running but it now won't keep running for more than a block. I don't want to rent a trailer again to haul it to Ocala and was hoping someone might know somebody that is in TV who could work on my motorcycle at our home. Thanks for any help you can give to my request.

I think Lucky Cycle on hwy 301 will pick it up. They seem competent. I take my bike there.

Does it have spark to the plug when it dies? Also when it dies and won't start try carb. Cleaner spray down the carb. Venturi. If its fuel starvation it should fire off the carb. Cleaner. Now you will know if it's fuel starvation or ignition issue? Spark should be nice blue spark and not weak orangish. You can also pull the fuel line at the carb. And see it it gravity feeds from the tank ensuring good fuel flow to the carb.? If the fuel tank hasn't been cleaned it could be blockage from rust or crud build up over the years? This will also tell you if your problem of fuel starvation in the carb.. If you have good flow from the tank?

Most dealers and repair shops will not repair a motorcycle that old.
