View Full Version : Where can we go for minor car service?

I mean for things like oil changes, brake fluid flush, brake pad replacement, starter replacement, and other minor repairs.

In Virginia we did not have auto repair shops like the ones we used to see in Florida. The local gas stations would do these minor repairs and we had one that we trusted.

So who you trust to do a good job working on your car? We live in Osceola Hills.

Very much thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

Without hesitation I can recommend Wildwood Tire Company, 200 E. Gulf to Atlantic Hwy. (Rt.44), just east of Rt. 301. 352-748-1739

We like Sumter Tire on 301 just north of 466a, almost across the street from the train station.

And another vote for Tri-County on 441. They really know their cars and are honest.

My golfing partner has a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, a sporty car. His clutch went out and he took the car to Accutech on 301 next to the driving range. He was very happy with the repair and price and they had no problem getting the parts.

Thanks very much for all of your answers. We will definitely check out all of the places you mentioned. The answers you all give on TOTV sure make us newcomers feel more comfortable in our new surroundings.

Another vote for Sumter Tire in Wildwood.

A real, family-owned, honest mechanic shop that has always gotten me in immediately for oil changes or new tires.

They are the real deal. Very accommodating and appreciative of the customer even if you're only getting an oil change.

I have a 2008 Honda CRV, the A/C went out, Accutech replaced the parts that needed to be replaced and was very reasonable. I'd use him again.

I recommend Michael's Auto Repair on Villa Ave. If you go towards 441 on 466A, it's one block short of 441, only making a right turn. 352.365.2955.

I always found Michael to be knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I will going back to him when my warranty expires this December.

... and very honest, we were lucky to find him back in 2008 or 2009.

Michael's Auto Repair, 307 N. Villa Ave., Fruitland Park. 352-365-2955. I've been going to him since I moved here six years ago. Five years ago he could've sold me a new transmission & I wouldn't have known any better, but instead he told me about an additive that did the trick. He works on many of the classic cars in TV. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
