Clint Eastwood - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/celebrity/clint_eastwood/)

Clint Eastwood's birthday is May 31.

What is your favorite Clint Eastwood movie?

Mine in Unforgiven. Unforgiven (1992) - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1041911-unforgiven)

I remember we talked about the Dirty Harry movie and law, justice, revenge and the like when I was in Mrs. Barbara Mitchell's English Class especially after she came back from a sabbatical after the murder of her daughter Michelle on 2-24 in 1976 in Reno, Nevada. She seemed to really want justice for her daughter but a fair trial as well. It became something of a circus though in 1979 with what would turn out to be a false confession only resulting in search for the real killer in 2015. More objectivity and less passion is what is needed with cases like this. People trying to get to the truth rather than bring up the win-loss statistics and the like.

Unforgiven is about what happens when both sides become embroiled in their own kind of justice.

I also remember how much Mrs. Barbara Mitchell would talk about the book and movie The Ox-Bow Incident and its tragic result of people jumping to conclusions based on unreliable evidence as well as on prejudices and bigotry.

Clint Eastwood has made several good movies. Among the best Alcatraz. We saw a real old one last night. "Where Eagles Dare". Richard Burton with a young Clint Eastwood.

It's "Unforgiven" for me. A realistic type western that showed it was really "wasn't, the gold old days in the west". Gritty and didn't romantisize the west.

I loved the saloon scene. The old westerns would have someone giving a five minute speech before shooting someone. One question and bam, bam, bam.........

BTW - Clint is one heck of a piano jazz player.

Really looking forward to Sully. Love Tom Hanks and I have been getting a special kick out of Hanks' movies since Cast Away in 2000. Cast Away*(2000) - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cast_away)
